A YouGov poll of 18,000 people in 17 countries found only 9.2 percent of Americans rank global warming as their biggest concern. Only Saudi Arabians were less concerned about global warming at 5.7 percent. The biggest concern for Americans was global terrorism - 28 percent of Americans polled listed this as their top issue.
Despite a big PR push by President Barack Obama to tout his administration's global warming agenda, most Americans have been unconvinced it's the country's most pressing issue. A Fox News poll from November found only 3 percent of Americans list global warming as their top concern.

So the public isn’t as stupid as I thought. Every documentary, every travel program, every animal documentary reminds us of global warming. The media use every opportunity to brainwash us. And the public ain’t buying it.

Exactly, and they all are government employees.
It’s all about control. That’s why their focus is on shutting down coal plants. The government wants to limit choices because choices imply the freedom to choose. They want you dependent on them for everything.
Much of the cram down is that NASA, the US Army, and any entity or person that wants to move or be recognized within the funding arm of the US Government has to study and account for the global warming impact their activity “contributes”. If you are opposed to the premise, or don’t let it occupy your neurons in sufficient detail, then you are not funded and, if your lack of submission to the new religion is egregious enough, you can be issued the scarlet letter.
There’s big money in this scam... plenty for liberal elite scammers in college settings.

The question was about the *biggest* concern, not any concern whatsoever.
The 9% are folks to whom even elementary science is beyond them. In other words, journalists and failed lawyers (e.g., senators and representatives).
YouGov is actually an on-line survey which anyone can join. It has nothing to do with the government. I have know idea if they adjust the survey response for demographics.
