Bernie Sanders comes across as your crazy, slightly senile old uncle — nice, but not entirely sane.

20% of people polled thinks he makes fried chicken, or something.

Well, this is all based on superficial things. He hasn’t really gotten high enough on the radar screen to make much of a wider public blip yet.

It just means people aren’t paying a lot of attention. That will change if he edges out Hillary. Both Ted and Donald will start taking pot shots.

What scares me is Obama started the "give away" program and Bernie would go pedal to the metal. How do you wean voters off of "free stuff"?

Doesn’t matter to Trump voters. They refuse to understand
his high negatives.

In my discussions with peeps of all political stripes, the dislike of both Trump and Hillary Clinton is visceral (as opposed to casual), and likely deeply indelible.

If he is the nominee, and the Democrats spend a billion dollars defaming him, and receive a few billion dollars in unpaid media assistance, and throw in the usual artful lies and smears along with dragging his whole unvetted playboy life through the mud, he is likely to be viewed even less favorably afterward.

Just as Romney innoculated Obama from from the health care issue, Trump would innoculate Clinton from Bill’s womanizing, and her bimbo intimidation.

You don't even feel their hand in your pocket until you find that 90 percent of your money is gone.

A businessman like Trump could plausibly explain why this kind of free is a bad idea.

Cruz would go into theoretical pieties and the audience would fall asleep.
