For the first time since 1994, the red-berete-wearing Angels will maintain a regular night-and-day presence in the subways, group founder Curtis Sliwa said. The teams of 12 volunteers will take two shifts, one running from the afternoon until 7 a.m., and another from the morning into the afternoon.

And people laughed at me when I said even Weiner would have been a better Mayor than this commie punk. A freakin’ eggplant would be a better Mayor.

De Blasio is just a bad optic all around. He’s married to a woman that changed her sexual orientation, which isn’t supposed to be possible. A Communist with a high murder rate. No national gravitas.

Fred Dicker: What is it going to mean for Donald Trump to have Bill de Blasio as [New York City] Mayor?"

Donald Trump: "He's a smart guy that knows what's going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York."

Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing PC Socialist Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor.

Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."

Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets.

Donald Trump: "I think he is going to want to make New York great. ..."

America's First Openly Marxist Big City Mayor [Bill de Blasio]

Cliff Kincaid - November 5, 2013

Described by CNN as the "unabashed liberal," de Blasio is actually to the left of Barack Obama, in the sense that de Blasio didn't disavow his communist background once it came to light. At least Obama tried to cover up his ties to communist Frank Marshall Davis.

De Blasio had scrubbed the Marxist connections from his campaign website, an omission that momentarily captured the attention of The New York Times. But once these connections and controversies came to light, he embraced his sordid history. He still embraces [communist] liberation theology and his work for the communist Sandinistas in Nicaragua.

Nobody believed the purpose of his "honeymoon" to Cuba was actually a honeymoon, but the media didn't even bother to check into how he made the illegal trip and whether the FBI had developed a file on the candidate.

De Blasio was so open about his Marxism that on Sunday, he campaigned with Harry Belafonte, who during the Cold War sang at a "Concert for Peace" in communist East Germany, where he attacked President Reagan's anti-communist foreign policy. A long-time supporter of the Castro dictatorship, Belafonte was also an ally of the late Venezuelan Marxist ruler Hugo Chavez. ..."

-snip-

De Blasio can be expected to side with Soros and his "progressive base," rather than the police.

De Blasio can also do a lot of damage in the area of surveillance of potential Muslim terrorists. He made a campaign promise to a Muslim group that he would stop the practice of sending informants into mosques and Muslim student organizations.

Going further, if he moves to dismantle the NYPD's counter-terrorism programs, the city and nation could suffer through another 9/11.

Pamela Geller, a New Yorker, comments that the kind of journalism that we saw in the mayoral contest "is not just irresponsible; it endangers us all."

Until broken glass litters every street, crime and murder are so commonplace no paper considers it news, when alley ways are no longer filled with junkies and hos but with mountains of unpicked up garbage, when the hos and junkies take over the airports ... maybe some one will grow a pair in NYC again.

How cute.

They’re unarmed.

As are almost all “law abiding” New Yorkers.

Disarming citizens in the face of violent criminals must be one of those wonderful “New York Values” I’ve been hearing about.

“When asked about his past support of current NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, Trump said he never supported de Blasio. “He turned out to be a terrible mayor — he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I mean the guy is incompetent.””

This was from a few days ago...

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/01/24/trump-bloomberg-2016-deblasio-incompetent/

So, who’s the real Trump? That is the $64K question.

The bottom line I’m coming up with is that you really can’t have any confidence in anything he says. He has changed position on issues and opinion of people time and again.

Like a great salesman, he will sound very convincing when he says it - you truly want to believe it, but experience will tell you to be cautious, you’ve gotten burned before.

I am torn because he does some things spectacularly well, like eviscerating the media and political correctness and rolling over adversaries, which are absolute necessities for this country and they are needed to reverse the course that this country is on.

But then I’m restrained in my excitement by the unknowns, or better, by his known inconsistencies. Will he actually use his talents to steer the country in a direction more to my liking or am I buying a pig in a poke?

With Cruz the opposite is true. He has been far more consistent and I have a lot of confidence that he would steer the country in the right direction, but he doesn’t have the force of personality that Trump has and he may not be as effective at getting his things done as Trump.

Just thinking out loud.

Beret? Barrette?

They’d be better off with a Beretta.

My daughter and her husband live in Tribeca. She was visiting us (mid Hudson Valley) over the weekend and told me that the homeless are laying in rows each night in Penn Station and Grand Central; that they smell and are aggressive. She says it is beyond disgusting.

It is beyond comprehension and bafflng that the democrats seem to actually want this type of thing. My daughter also said that the subways are also filled with the homeless and feel far more dangerous as compared to when she first moved there just under 3 years ago; the difference within just a few years is striking.

As his reason for that gushing support of communist Bill De Blasio for New York City mayor, Trump said something like “Well, I own a lot of expensive property in New York”. In other words, he sold the rest of us out so that he could put himself on good terms with the hard left mayoral candidate. Typical Trump move.
