Clinton: GOP disbelieves climate change because Koch brothers tell them to
The Hill ^ | 1/30/16 | Mark Hensch

Posted on 01/31/2016 4:29:14 AM PST by Libloather

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said late Saturday that most Republicans are skeptical of climate change because billionaire donors David and Charles Koch tell them to be.

"Most of them are not that ill-informed," she said during a campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. "They just have to do what the Koch brothers tell them. They say, 'don't believe your lying eyes - listen to us.' "

Clinton warned America's economy would slip behind other nations if lawmakers keep debating climate change instead of acting.

"Some country is going to be the 21st Century clean energy superpower," she said. "I think it will be China, Germany or us. I want it to be us and I hope it's us."

"I still believe we can make things in America. We're going to combat climate change and then we're going to create more clean, renewable energy jobs."

Clinton argued Republicans are so critical of her Oval Office bid because she is unyielding on clean energy and other progressive policies.

"The folks who know I have the toughest plan are the Republicans and their allies," she said. "You've got to ask yourself - why are they so nervous about me?"

"They know me. They know I mean what I say and say what I mean. We're going to take the fight to them and we can. I'm a progressive who likes to get things done."

Clinton's remarks come as she tries fending off Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Iowa caucuses Monday. Sanders trails Clinton by about 3 percent in the Hawkeye State, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Trump’s probably the worst in Clinton’s eyes on climate change and the Koch’s complain they can’t influence the GOP now.

"You've got to ask yourself - why are they so nervous about me?"

People are nervous about you, Hillary, because you are a narcissist who has proven time and time again that you will do and say just about anything to obtain power and feed your narcissistic need to be "historic", "important", and "special". It's all about you, and history is replete with tragedy caused by those with similar personality traits.

PURE BS: I’ve lived 67 years, when I was a teen it was global cooling, now it’s global warming. I remember snow storms that were butt high coming in off the lake in Chicago, I lived 30 miles away, had to shovel the stuff as the eldest, despite being female, as the only sibling that was male was not old enough to even pick up a shovel. Seen the temps go up, go down over the decades. Weather patterns change all the time.

Ever heard of the Dust Bowl? Well it happened more than once in history. As for the same effect in 3rd world countries over grazing is the major cause. Some things you can’t change, weather is one of them, death and taxes are the other 2.

LOL! Srsly? More like we can pose the following to true believers and laugh at the blank look on their stupid faces:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet’

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

Just reading the title my only reaction is Clinton is an a(bad word). Sorry but it was it is. Yes millenials he was a special kind of perv. And you are right btw, it is sooooo wrong. Embodiment of the decayed and corrupted left. Most prominently found in the Democrat party of the United States. Significant boll weevil presence also noted in the other major established political party of the day. The dying Republican Party. Will the Donald save it or rename it is something to ponder IMO.

Why does GOP disbelieve climate change? Or more accurately, why do so many people not believe man makes climate change?

Not enough pixie dust and with KOOLAID chasers.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

When I was five I crawled under the hedge to visit the lady next door. In the ensuing conversation and with absolute sincerity she told me that all the blacks pooled their money to take over from the whites. Mind you, I was five, and I knew something was wrong with her. I’m guessing that most of the people reading this regardless of their political disposition, will see it for the craziness it is.

Pretty silly and superficial claim do you not think so?

First of all the science is FAR from settled on the role of mankind on climate change. Data, methodology, and assumptions have to be stretched to somehow connect man made carbon dioxide emissions to global warming.

The Sun is the principal cause of climate change that takes place over hundreds of years. The Democrats are confusing weather variability with climate change.
