British bookies see a banner month ahead for Donald Trump.

The Republican presidential candidate is the "red-hot favorite" to win the Iowa Caucuses (Feb. 1) and the New Hampshire primary (Feb. 9), says Graham Sharpe, spokesman for William Hill PLC, a leading British bookmaker. William Hill has Trump as the 1-2 favorite in Iowa and the 1-4 favorite in New Hampshire.

"The Trump bandwagon shows little sign of a slowdown," says Sharpe.

The one thing for sure in such wagering: A whole lot of people will lose money. We’ll have to wait for the results to see which will be losing money on their gambling, but it is slightly heartening to know that the people of the United Kingdoms are watching our campaigns...

Just wish they weren’t betting on them.

Winning Iowa is essential for Cruz, or he’ll be back in the 5-6% range in the polls.

Winning Iowa isn’t essential for Trump, it just shortens up the process.

True.

Cruz and Rubio are young guys, and don’t hit prime political age until another 3 or 4 election cycles.

I think this is probably Trump’s one shot.

Yes. And a one-two punch of Cruz losing Iowa and NH will be impossible to recover from.

Before the first vote has been cast Cruz and his most ardent supporters are already acting like they have lost. The latest loser tactic is the unbelievable “shaming mailer” they sent out. What a joke! If you want a good laugh... read through the posts by the holier than thou Cruz supporters on this thread. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3390550/posts

Maybe by then someone will rewrite/amend the Constitution so they can be legitimate...I hope not.

Convention Of States backers better be careful what you wish for.

you can probably add SC and NV to that as well. Last polls I saw Trump had big leads in both, and wins in IA and NH would increase those leads.

I’m still not sure how good his ground game is—which matters.
