Part of my “growing older” was to switch back from my 9mm Browning Hi-Power to my .357 Dan Wesson revolver. Carry is easier. Getting it out and on target is faster for me and there are absolutely no mechanical safeties to get in the way.
If you invite me to the party, you better be willing to dance.
DW 357? Nice. I like mine. Got it in ‘81. Six inch vent rib. But not the heavy. Still shoots nicely. A lot of folks are so used to 9’s and .40’s that when I turn the .357 loose, it gets a LOT of attention.
Love my DW .357mag. Great gun. I have the 2” heavy barrel, 4” and 6” standard barrel, and the 8” vent-rib heavy barrel. Damn fine gun, IMO. Carried it with the 6” barrel as my duty gun back in the LEO days. Add a few speed loaders and we were good to go.
Might drag it out and do some range work. I generally carry my 1911A1; with the ambi safety, it’s a solid shooter (I shoot LH). But, that pull and go of the revolver may just be the ticket...
Not that I’m getting older, ya’know.
Part of my growing older was to switch to a Keltec PMR 30 which weighs nothing and has a 30 round mag. :-)
