Love my DW .357mag. Great gun. I have the 2” heavy barrel, 4” and 6” standard barrel, and the 8” vent-rib heavy barrel. Damn fine gun, IMO. Carried it with the 6” barrel as my duty gun back in the LEO days. Add a few speed loaders and we were good to go.
Might drag it out and do some range work. I generally carry my 1911A1; with the ambi safety, it’s a solid shooter (I shoot LH). But, that pull and go of the revolver may just be the ticket...
Not that I’m getting older, ya’know.
My dad carried it on duty with the 6” and I carried with the 4” for 2 years.
I switched to the Browning cause, well, its a Browning Hi-power and CCW it for over 12 years. The DW has been patiently waiting its turn. Put the snubby on her and some new leather and she was ready for daily carry. 125 gr Winchester hollow points at about 1050 fps. Not crazy power for a .357 mag but more than plenty to be respected with and manageable recoil and sufficient eye grabbing fireball that engulfs the front of the cylinder and barrel when you touch it off.
