ELLSWORTH, Maine âMaine police said they have discovered the dangerous drug Flakka for the first time.
Flakka, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, is a synthetic drug similar to bath salts. It has been found commonly in the southern U.S.
Ellsworth police said a test of a brown powder they seized from a man in August 2015 came back positive for Flakka.
Police said, Ryan Miller, 33, of Southwest Harbor, Maine, was issued a summons for unlawful possession of a schedule W drug.
Don’t google the photos!
If you burn this drug in a Chinese cooker you get a Wokka Flakka Flame.
I talked to a guy recently who knew someone who took one hit of ‘synthetic marijuana’, and now is basically a bed ridden vegetable. Take heed people.
What the heck is a Schedule W drug? That’s a new one. Its a rhetorical question. No need for some one to past subsection J paragraph 23 or anything.
There are a lot of issues dragging down Western Civilization but drugs is the most common rot and will only keep getting worse.
Basically what you have is people moving away from waking up hungry and working in a civilzed way to remedy that... To people waking up needing a drug fix.
A person hungry for breakfast versus a person desperate for a drug fix. Who do you want to live next to? On one side, on the other side, across the street...
The deliberate killing of the economy has an effect on how people deal with life or lack of. Drugs are killing the youth of this nation, its killing families, its killing children our future depends on the health and strength of our youth and our enemies here and abroad know this and we have to stop it at all cost or we lose without firing a shot
Is it just me, or is the power of addiction to drugs, porn, a variety of things, rampant? I see people who watch you tube for hours and hours a day.. Maybe it’s just entertaining or maybe we have had some epigenetic shift to swaths of people addicted to phones, Internet, tv.. Drugs are bad here in my part of the country.
I think there are a lot of reasons for that.
Not the least is the shift from teaching hard work, self denial, patience, and moderation (or abstinence) as virtues.
Hand in hand with that is the cultural abandonment of Almighty God in general, and with that the social pressure to live a virtuous life, or at least maintain the appearance well enough by remaining functional.
There were few or no 'safety nets' to catch the person who chose to not be functional members of society, and that was a strong incentive to 'get by'.
Accepting charity on an ongoing basis was for those who had been injured or ill and could not work, but cause for shame if an able bodied person took advantage of such programs--so much so that many poor people would not seek assistance, insisting it be left for poor people.
Even bums would ask to work for a meal or money, rather than steal and become a criminal.
Now, there is an incredible atmosphere of self-entitlement that people who do nothing actually believe they deserve to be cared for by others, even if they are capable of work.
Without the incentive that religion provides to be honest, many will steal whatever they want, without any consideration for others.
Maybe I'm off, but this seemed to start when God was removed form the schools. Those daily prayers were a reminder that there are forces greater than us all, and that one day we will meet our Creator and stand before Him.
>> but drugs is the most common rot
It’s an industry. Pays for pensions, college, and the mortgage.
Now, let’s talk about summary execution of the dealers. But there goes the necessity of tax dollars for the pensions, college, and the mortgage.
Crazy drug talk.
“What the heck is a Schedule W drug?”
Schedule W is for “Worst”!
Sure. You keep sanctuary for the dealers while innocence suffers.
“our future depends on the health and strength of our youth”..
Tell that to the ones who are brainwashing your children every day, drugs or not, our country is in GREAT PERIL!
Did you intend to respond to post #7 ?
We realized that as beautiful as Sorrento was/is, we were not independently wealthy, nor woodchucks (my term of affection for the ability to live off the land) and already had an extreme dislike for winters in the Boston area.
So, we took the "easy" route and moved to Haiti, instead...
the drugs reduce the surplus population
I know a guy who started on that crap and it turned him into a belligerent a-hole. It can make users very aggressive.
Thanks, War on Drugs, for incentivizing the continuous creation of ever nastier drugs!
“Synthetic drugs like flakka are not likely to go away. This is because once a compound in a synthetic drug is banned and becomes illegal, those manufacturing the substance alter the illegal compound slightly so that it no longer falls under the category of a banned substance. In this case, compounds in bath salts are now illegal in the U.S., but the drug was tweaked slightly by manufacturers in China to create flakka. This means manufacturers have no limit when it comes to developing new forms of synthetic drugs. They just continue to chemically alter existing popular drugs.” - http://www.casacolumbia.org/the-buzz-blog/dangerous-new-drug-flakka-takes-florida-storm?gclid=COSF55iqz8oCFVYYHwodxosLDg
“Itâs an industry. Pays for pensions, college, and the mortgage.”
Also a significant part of the Judiciary and it’s supporting subsidiaries, drug testing companies, criminal lawyers and their staff and law enforcement.
