Russian Federation moves up in Transparency International's 2015 corruption index

Denmark retained the top spot in the rankings as the country perceived as most clean, while North Korea and Somalia were the worst performers, each scoring just eight on the TI scale to 100.

The other top spots, from second to ninth, were occupied by Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore and Canada.

In Transparency International's corruption perceptions index report for 2015, Nigeria ranked very low, at 136 out of 168 countries.

And Canadians are less corrupt than Americans.

Somebody should do a Cruz ad....

There is a tight correlation to corruption and poverty.

There is also a tight correlation to crime and poverty.

Corruption causes poverty.

Crime causes poverty.

There may be a little bit of feedback mechanism going on as well.

Self-appointed do-gooders make up a list. Stop the presses!

Seriously, though, how about not giving these (possibly shady) NGOs a leg up by just ignoring them? Too many out there to tell what’s good and what isn’t.
