I’d saw about half of those who claim to be Evangelical don’t even know how to define what that means.
There are idiots who voted Obama who claim to be “evangelicals”.
The press throws that word out there as if it means anything.
I saw another poll yesterday (I Think it was Fox) that showed Trump with a big lead among Evangelicals in Iowa. I am beginning to disregard all polls and am just waiting for the votes to be counted.
Damn RINO evangelicals. They should be supporting the billionaire hedonist.
Turnout is the key according to pollster Pat Caddell. Caddell’s prediction: if turnout is about 120,000 then Cruz wins. If it tops 140,000 then advantage goes to Trump.
This will be a fun ride.
All whites, all blacks, all evangelicals...are people no longer individuals and capable of independent thought? I think that is BS. Evangelicals are not a lump group they are people. If many, most or all vote Cruz so be it, but stop acting as if they are one entity incapable of differences.
Interesting article linked below (I know, it’s The New Yorker) about Cruz and evangelicals. The article has more to say about contemporary evangelicalism and politics than it does about Cruz.
As a side note, the sociology professor quoted in the article was a neighbor of mine 30 years ago. At that time, he was one of very few young sociologists who was studying religion.
