i figured MAYBE if it helped the small farmer stay in business, I dont know.

but then, that’s not capitalism, you’re right.

i’ve accepted that my hometown boy is going to win.

i would rather Cruz not say anything else outlandish and keep dignity for the next run.

that’s ONE concrete thing that Trump has done that i disagree with. Basically telling Iowa that he’s supporting it to get their vote.

but this is politics.

Things will be perfect when/if I get to Heaven.

Generally, I’m opposed to subsidies for anything that I consider long-held operations and practices.

There may be a case for completely new technology subsidies, even energy alternatives, but for ethanol I can’t find any scientific or general economic benefit to the CONSUMER. Ethanol as additive has had plenty of time to prove it is worthwhile on a non-political, non-ideological level. It’s continuance hereafter will grow into the same kind of thing like milk price supports.
