I’ve driven in one of CT’s ‘travel bans.” We have maybe 6-8” of snow on the ground and the roads have been plowed several tines. It’s called common sense, access conditions in the area you plan to travel (i.e. city, suburbs, country, hills, etc) and you vehicle’s ability to travel in said conditions and make a appropriate decision.
This is a nanny state phenomenon.
If they could really ding you hard for a rescue and made THAT public, I think this would work better, but then the state would not be able to bill itself as nanny any more and that would hurt their pride.
