Ping!
You have to admire National Review for dropping the facade that they are independent purveyors of fact and admitting that they are political hacks.
Spot on!
It’s great the GOP-e and its minions are distressed and lashing out.
National Review has never been all that conservative. It’s an elitist publication aimed at East Coast swells.
It appears the that Establishment feels that open borders, unFree trade, offshoring and supporting gloBULL corporate interests defines Conservatism. I’ll bet the CoC likes NR.
Now they want to have a discussion about conservatism? Where were they when 42 was busting the budget? How about McCain, Romney and the GOP leadership in the House and the Senate. Not a conservative in the whole lot of them. But now they want to talk about Trump. They just don’t have the street cred.
So will you vote Trump if he is the nominee?
This article should be read by everyone.
If you observe closely what you will see that much of the vitriol and hatred coming Trumps way originate with warmongering, open borders neocons. They hate Trump because he doesn’t have to come to them on bended knee to drink out of their trough and beg them for money, and support. He routinely ridicules the media where much of the neocon power is based. They are concerned that Trump may not listen to them when they start to howl for another war or amnesty or whatever else their pet destructive policy is at the moment.
Wow, Jack, you condescending jerk. Since you are so sure why don't you put some money on it to make it interesting. When you presume to know what other folks don't know you are headed for a world of hurt.

A response to the last line of the article.. ah yes isolationism it worked so well in the 1930’s
I’m not inclined toward admiration, but I definitely get your point. :)
Shouldn't everyone ask what is NR's real problem with Trump?
No. The group in NR, although there were a few neocons, was much broader than that.
It is and has been an opinion journal.. guess since the Donald called it a newspaper (which it has never been) some people got confused.
So if you write for an “opinion journal” your opinion is more important than anyone else’s?
