Petraeus Prosecuted -- Why not Hillary?
American Thinker ^ | 01/23/2016 | By Daniel John Sobieski

Posted on 01/23/2016 7:31:28 AM PST by SeekAndFind

In was an interesting coincidence that as the Intelligence Community Inspector General Charles McCullough III was writing to the heads of the House and Senate Intelligence committees, among others, that Hillary Clinton had above-top-secret SAP (Special Access Programs)  information on her private email server, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, the Daily Beast reports, is preparing to demote Gen. David Petraeus, former CENTCOM commander and CIA chief for mishandling similar SAP information while in uniform.

The cases are almost identical, but Petraeus admitted his crime, apologized for it and paid a fine. Now the man who is arguably the most significant American general since World War II, who achieved a victory in Iraq that President Obama threw away, is going to be publicly humiliated and his reputation permanently tarnished. Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, whistles past her own graveyard, escaping punishment thus far for exposing our most classified secrets to foreign enemies on an unsecured server in her private residence. As Fox News’ Catherine Herridge noted in her blockbuster report:

According to court documents, former CIA Director David Petraeus was prosecuted for sharing intelligence from special access programs with his biographer and mistress Paula Broadwell. At the heart of his prosecution was a non-disclosure agreement where Petraeus agreed to protect these closely held government programs, with the understanding “unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized retention or negligent handling … could cause irreparable injury to the United States or be used to advantage by a foreign nation.” Clinton signed an identical non-disclosure agreement Jan. 22, 2009.

The IG’s letter should place Hillary Clinton squarely in violation USC 18 Section 793 of the Espionage Act, which covers “gross negligence” in the handling of such information.

The Justice Department (the sitting President) is not going to prosecute a major Presidential candidate for technical, rulebook violations - not in an election year - and I'm not sure that they should.

Now, prosecuting the entire Clinton crime family for tax evasion, bribery, money laundering and racketeering? THAT is a definite possibility.

We control both houses..
Where is the congress appointed federal prosecutor?

If McConnell is dragging his feet, acting in collusion with Clinton, he needs to be thrown out! How does the senate majority leader lose his post? What are the procedures to remove him, while we wait a few years before he can be primaries out?

Can some one provide a link relative to the removal or replacement of McConnell?

Anyone who demands that no one look at them or speak to them while they are walking in the White House, is someone who is terrified and vain.

Add greed to the mix and you get a person who is a tragedy waiting to happen.

And that tragedy happened at Benghazi.

Frightened, arrogant and greedy.

She couldn’t be bothered with mundane things like communications security.

Or she sold those secrets.

I don’t really care why she did it.

She did it.

She exposed us all to murder and slavery.

She must pay for that.

If we could hope to have any confidence in our government, confidence in the rule of law and civil society...she must be prosecuted.

It would go along way in restoring my faith in this government. Otherwise, it has become the adversary of the people.

Lol...where is the National Review issue on this one? Why aren't they devoting a issue to this one and holding the GOP house and senate to task?

The GOP are co conspirators.

Why Petraeus and not Hillary?

1. He is not a D.
2. He does not have a vagina.

When Lynch gets the referral OUR GUYS NEED TO STAY PUT AND NOT NOT NOT NOT RESIGN.

We’ll need every insider voice possible... Resigning in protest worked in the old days because people had a conscience... If Lynch doesn’t prosecute Clinton it means she doesn’t have a concept of ‘right and wrong’...
