Donald Trump is thumping Ted Cruz by double digits in a new Iowa poll, while Bernie Sanders has grabbed a significant lead from Hillary Clinton among Democrats likely to caucus in the state.
Trump, who has been neck-and-neck with Cruz in recent Iowa GOP surveys, now leads the Texas senator 37 percent to 26 percent, with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at with 14 percent, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Thursday.
Republican Ben Carson dropped to just 6 percent.

Allahpundit is going full Unskewed Polls over this.
How many presidential campaigns in Iowa have you participated in?
President of the United States?..........Not so much. He'd be bored and frustrated.
Is that all that motivates you? An internecine war on FR?
What was your real reason for joining FR?
... How many presidential campaigns in Iowa have you participated in?
In case you missed it, one of new Iowa poll asked voters mode of travel.
28.6% of Trump supporters said zero.
Zero percent said Cruz.
The real enemy is the Republican Establishment and the Uniparty.
Name calling regarding either Trump or Cruz or their supporters doesn’t help that cause.
My gut sense a few weeks back was that the GOPe needed to take Cruz out so they could get at Trump.
Part of that strategy was promote a bloody fight between the two sides with GOPe provocateurs-agents in the Trump and Cruz camps lighting matches and pouring gasoline.
Events since then in the media in general and in this forum in particular have confirmed my sense of the situation.
I support Ted Cruz and hope for the best for Ted, Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck etc. etc. This is no time for a food fight sports bar trash talk conflict.
When the bloodied bodies all lay on the ground, Jeb Bush or someone like Jeb will walk over them.......
Based on early comments, it looks like you are right on.
The Uniparty continues.

Lol, there you go again. You know full well that the Trump campaign has said it will shuttle any one of their voters needing a ride to the caucus. Did you really think they wouldn’t make plans for every contingency? Of course they have. You Cruzers are losers.
The United States is the largest and most powerful company in the world.
Trump will find plenty to do... Nice thing about workaholics is they love to ‘figure it out and get it done’... Trump will do that and he’ll love it.
Trump’s been a politician for less than a year and he’s playing the game better than men who have spent a lifetime in the profession. Quick study is an understatement.
Trump can't pick his legislature.
What is really scary is Drudge’s poll!!!!!!
The top two number candidates are Trump..........and Sanders
Yipes!
I those two are the nominees, I predict an 1860 ish outcome, with four candidates getting over 10% of vote in November.
Funny, but when the news was opposite, you Cruz supporters were even worse.
The “Principled Conservatives” are the “Useful Fools” for the left.
LOL - OK and THAT'S a fair point too... He'll have a cabinet to delegate to - and a Congress that would starve to death if they had to agree on pizza toppings.
The herding cats thing fits.
That said Trump would have an easier time dealing with Congress than Cruz... Trump would see it as a quest - he would enjoy the chase... the challenge of overcoming. It's how Trump's running his campaign - and it's how he would govern.
Sounds like the Mussolini model...
Or Churchill...
That comment, my FRiend, shows the depths of your delusion....
Your Mussolini comment shows the depths of your delusion too... I was mirroring your extreme.
