Ted Cruz whacked himself when he did not handle the birther issue in Dec 2014 so it would now be old news. Big mistake in a campaign that was otherwise run better than most conservative campaigns.
Cruz was a Canadian for all but one year of his 45.

Agreed, except new articles are posted every day - for three weeks.
One year? Cruz didn’t denounce Canadian citizenship until several years ago.
“Alberta-born Sen. Ted Cruz has given up his Canadian dual citizenship. The renunciation became official on May 14 (2014), roughly 9 months after he learned he wasn’t only an American.”
So, yes, one year. Someone please tell me how a grown man with a passport and drivers license, a lawyer and a Senator, doesn’t know he’s Canadian. Flat out, he knew. The only reason he dropped it was to run for POTUS, so again, he knew exactly what the requirements were in the Constitution. Just because the Kenyan (or Canadian or wherever the heck the usurper was born) got by with being foreign born with a foreign born father doesn’t mean Cruz gets to slide.
