A secret deal between Switzerland and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) from 1970 has recently come to light.
The Swiss newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung reports that then-Foreign Minister Pierre Graber offered to support Palestinians diplomatically in exchange for assurances the PLO would not carry out terror attacks against Swiss targets. [...]
The meeting between the Swiss government and the PLO was arranged by long-time Israel hater Jean Ziegler, who was a member of the Swiss parliament at the time. Within diplomatic channels, he has encouraged the International Criminal Court in the Hague to charge Israel with war crimes and referred to Gaza as a "concentration camp."
He is now on the UN Human Rights Council's Advisory Committee. ...

The French allowed them to carry weapons through French airports on the way to other European nations during the same period. This in return for not launching attacks in France. That’s a lot worse than just supporting efforts to recognize them diplomatically.
So the ever so advanced, ever so neutral Swiss have been Yellowbellied Dhimmis, and for a long long time! Well, I do declare! This makes me wonder about other societies, we Americans are supposed to be imitating, like Norway, with it’s cottage industry of ‘Peace Prizes’.
So they were accomplices to the Munich Massacre just over there border two years later?

To be “neutral” is to be morally absurd. Though it is quite profitable. The Swiss banks shelter and launder the money of any criminal, dictator, crooked politician or rogue businessman. They pay the grateful client a miniscule amount of interest while lending the money out at market rates. Often the holder of the account never returns and they keep the sheltered funds.
At least the Swiss are not prone to give moralistic lectures like the swedes. The Swedes supplied the Germans with critical supplies until the Germans had no more gold.
