Not demonically, it isn’t anything supernatural. I wouldn’t even give them that status. They are just garden variety flaming assholes, lucky enough to live in a time that the dominant world power hasn’t marched in and broken their hearts in a crushing defeat, so they feel bold.
In the late 40s, or God forbid in the 1890s, they would have simply been invaded, and dominated. Mecca would have literally been seized.
They are just luck and had some good timing. Their 15 minutes will end rather soon, they are seriously overplaying their hand.

I don't favor that...I do believe in mercilessly killing the fiends who murder innocent civilians. Maybe establishing some country for them hundreds of miles away from Israel would be ideal. The mideast Islamic countries certainly have plenty of room for these useless oxygen thieves.
