Hundreds gather in Portland to protest Malheur occupation, support public lands

As hundreds of people gathered Tuesday at Southwest Portland's Holladay Park, a red-tailed hawk soared above and gave a loud screech.

The crowd cheered, celebrating the symbolism during a rally supporting the public ownership of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and calling for the prosecution of its armed occupiers. Armed anti-government protestors at the Harney County refuge are, among other demands, demanding that federally owned land be returned to local ranchers and loggers.

"We can show the gang that's out there at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge how you really make a public statement in support of something," said Sean Stevens, executive director of Oregon Wild. "We're going to be positive. We're going to be positive. We're going to be peaceful and we're going to talk about much we love public lands."

I’d say the folks out at Malheur ought to head on home . America does not need another Ruby Ridge or Waco . Which is what will ultimately happen . And for what ?

Why should they give up to government theft of their homes and businesses? Doesn’t the constitution mean anything to anybody any more?

The people out there are asking ranchers to gather on Saturday for ‘signing ceremony’ to refuse to pay federal grazing fees.

Their message is that lands should be locally controlled and that ranchers should put a ‘production tax’ into local coffers instead of ‘grazing fees’ into Washington.

It looks they are trying to escalate the ‘rebellion’ out there.

“Their message is that lands should be locally controlled and that ranchers should put a ‘production tax’ into local coffers instead of ‘grazing fees’ into Washington.”

But if the grazing fees do not go to Washington, then where will the money come from to give gibsmedats to ensure the election of more dhimmicrats?

“...and for what?”

For what?

I am sure that there was some timid soul that said the same thing when those radical rabble rousers dumped some tea in Boston Harbor.

It is in no danger of becoming either one of those. The Feds are on notice that there had better not be any bloodshed in this case. They would have to be suicidal fools to start something tactical.

"Portlandia Strikes Back" from the safety and comfort of their enclave.

And plan their next "Occupy" demonstration where they deny use of public streets, bridges and transportation, to law abiding, producing, employed, tax paying citizens who want to get to work or their business.

The liberals could give less of a shirt about this.

This thing in Portland was orchestrated.

That means somebody big is pushing this. Somebody wants to start some shooting.

Soros?

One if the FBI agents who was caught on camera during Santelli’s confrontation with them at the FBI compound the other day was one of the same guys who showed up yesterday at the refuge press conference, posing as a “Center for Biological Diversity (Except 4 Cows)” protestor. They got photos of him.

Comments at that link —

From an “Oregonian” poster:
These idiots would be smart to pack up and leave our fine state and get the hell off our land immediately.

Whose is OUR land????

His? Oregon’s? The Fed’s?

Not thinking straight.

I’ve seen a few videos of hunters pissed off at the occupation. I doubt they have “Portland” values.

At least they're not closing down public thruways that the public REALLY uses:

What's worse? I'd saying CLOSING A HEAVILY TRAVELED BRIDGE OR HIGHWAY IS WORSE, but the media portrays BLM as HEROES and the ranchers as CRIMINALS!
