--first time I've ever seen anything approaching sense from the S-T on guns-

-problem is, they'd soon have the jails so overflowing with black members that the civil rights people would go crazy--

Prosecute federal gun laws.
Send the perps to a work prison.
At the work prison, make compressed earth blocks.
Use the blocks to build housing prisons out in the middle of no where with barracks and housing for guards.

Prisoners supply the raw materials to build prisons for more prisoners. Could even be used as a model for illegals to build blocks for the southern border.

Arrest means nothing to these vermin. It is merely a technical difficulty. The only thing bad about getting arrested is the detox for the day or so they are locked up.
Withdrawals are the only real reason they fear jail.

Part of the violent crime problem is that hoplophobes and progressives with an agenda always focus on “the gun” and not “the perp”, so taking away a handgun and releasing the owner makes sense, to them, since it is a “gun problem”.

I was victim of a “gun crime”, went to court, the whole nine yards. In the end the perp got basically probation.

I called the DA’s office and asked about the rifle they’d confiscated. I was told not to worry, it would be melted down so it would never offend again, and so forth. I said, “I’ll buy it” (naturally), but was told that would never happen because apparently the evil resided in the rifle, and melting it would keep everybody, “even you”, the DA pointed out, safe.

The sad fact is that if all black males between the ages of 12 and 50 were sequestered, the violent crime rate in most big cities would drop to almost zero. Nobody (except for a few brave conservatives) wants to admit the truth.

About forty eight years ago the READER’S DIGEST did an in depth article on why crime suddenly started spiking in the early 1960s.

It was found that the upward spike started when the courts began to release criminals on their own recognizance (no bond) and refused to keep them in jail.

The Chicago police complain they arrest people all the time for the illegal possession of a gun, only to find the gun-toting goofs back on the street in the blink of an eye.

The 20,000 pages of gun control legislation's aimed at taking guns away from law biding citizens. If Democrats gave a damn about safety - they would 'take away' criminals... not guns. Also, Chicago has a long tradition of waging a war on cops... AND getting political support from gangs...
