But on every thread I hear how brilliant Cruzs’ “New York values” gambit was. I guess 3d political chess is too much for me because I don’t see the brilliance in pissing off ten of millions of NYer and expat NYers. Nor do I see the brilliance in getting just about ever politician in the USA attacking you for it. I think Cruz jumped the shark on his “NY values” gambit. But hey, that just me eh.

Yeah, NY values like abortion, corruption, leftist scum politicians, NYC as a sanctuary city, gun bans nd restrictions, nanny soda bans, etc.
Just so worthy of defense.
Right?

It is true and accurate. Donald did correct the tweet but blamed someone unknown [SRSLY?!] for tweeting incorrectly ...

In Trump's correcting tweet he was sure to make clear ... "I'm supporting Mitch McConnell for Majority Leader!"

I get it, attacking everyone in one of the largest states in the union, the media and news center of the USA was a brilliant move by the smartest man ever. I will watch in amazement as the tsunami of support lifts Cruz over Trump just before the Iowa votes. A masters’ touch no doubt to single out the people of state of New York for the nations woes. Well played Ted Cruz.

So you support liberal causes?
You hold those same values that NY keeps voting for?

Well scratch any chance he had to be Cruz’s running mate or Attorney General.

values of the conservatives in NJ are fine, but why don’t conservatives in NJ seriously fight and get involved to get dems and rinos out of office?

so many conservatives relocate and let the city and eventually state fall to more liberal values voters.

my own voting district got taken by a big liberal and now I am more involved to help reverse it.

Poppa Bush said “Voodoo Economics” and still was Reagan’s VP.

It would be best for Cruz to find a graceful exit at this point. He's pushing his brand too far and is only going to damage his future. He is getting into the area of too much negative attention and might not be able to recover in time for a a political future in main stream politics.

You wish.

Yes. But Bush was a last minute choice during the convention. When offered the VP slot, Bush acknowledged he could embrace Reagan's platform despite his opposition to Reaganomics during the campaign. It was a Bush flip flop double switch back and rebound that I'm sure Reagan later regretted.

Anyway my comment is my opinion, not that of Ted Cruz. I don't know who Cruz will ask to be his VP or Attorney General choice, but I think he could do better than CC. He has a wider field of conservatives to choose from than Reagan. He should not be cornered into accepting a conservative with moderate values like Reagan.

Anyway I think Cruz is too busy right now defending himself from the character assassins in the media, the moderate conservatives in the GOPe, and the liberal democrats who have started to support Trump. Also, CC should be concentrating on his own campaign, unless he is planning to drop out, instead of parroting Cruz's accusers.

OK enough. Again it was NOT an attack on the people of New York but a comment about the liberal values many New Yorker’s condone. I’m sure there are a few New Yorkers who ascribe to the same conservative values as Ted Cruz and agree with him. They understand what he meant, why don’t you?
