Bernie Sanders Goes Full Trump, Taunts Hillary Clinton With Poll Numbers

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) took a page from his "good friend" Donald Trump on Sunday by taunting his chief competitor about her flagging poll numbers.

"Let me talk about polling. As Secretary Clinton well knows, when this campaign began she was 50 points ahead of me," Sanders said at the Democratic debate in South Carolina.

"Guess what? In Iowa, New Hampshire, the race is [now] very, very close," Sanders said.

In recent weeks, Sanders has seen a surge of support from left-wing Democrats disaffected with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic establishment.

The socialist senator is polling ahead of Clinton in the critical early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire, throwing a scare into the Clinton campaign.

What I liked is Sanders also went full-Trump on hillary's Goldman Sachs connections. It highlights Cruz's image problem with those obscured loans.

Did Sanders realize this would help Trump on an important issue?

“........The socialist senator is polling ahead of Clinton...”......

That should show everyone how horrible Hitlary would be as POTUS when a known communist (in their words socialist) is beating her at the polls. God help this nation!!!!!

Seems like Trump is the one they’re worried about. No mention of anyone else.

Birds of a feather...

Maybe Sanders is angling to be Trumps VP.

Sanders was ignored by NBC pro-Hillary pro-Obama Holt
over and over, as Hillary was protected and helped.

Hey, if the MSM refuses to report the polls in support of news, the candidate must step in and reveal the truth to voters!

FWIW, I would not mind a Bernie vs Trump presidential run. They're two senior citizens who've taken opposite paths to reaching their goals. They both love the US but have totally different game plans to restore the nation. Neither one has IOUs to pay off.

I've often said it would be really good to have a discussion, far left vs far right and get rid of the muck in the middle. As this Goldman-Sachs issue demonstrates, there are some things going on in the US that are just plain bad, and they've totally compromised almost everyone in power.

There’s no way in heck that I would watch libtards go at it with 2 hours of afropandering, but reading FR’s live thread it’s pretty obvious that A) you can’t out Santa Santa Claus and bernie is the king of promising free stuff. and B) based on his comments about the pharmaceutical industry, his rising poll numbers will be inversely proportional to Pfizer’s stock and it will lead the market down tomorrow.

I would have watched the debate, but it was on at the same time as “Finding Bigfoot”, a much more believable program.

She really is a horrible candidate, being tied with the Bern is living proof. Just wondering, what makes you think she's any less of a socialist than Bernie?

The Bernie Deception. 538 says Hillary will win Iowa and lose NH. But after that she is leading by 20-40 pts in the remaining states. I remain convinced Bernie is only in there to make Hillary appear more moderate and reasoned. Had she run unopposed, the electorate would have turned on her by now.

Yep...and what would the GOPe do? Get behind Bernie? Without their pal Hillary they would have to unite behind Trump, unlike in 1964 and 1980 when they rebelled. But this is all a nice fantasy. Sanders has 0.0% chance.

Bernie loves his version of a Socialist/Communist US. Otherwise, hard to show he loves the US as it was founded.

Overt socialist/totalitarian wannabe vs. covert socialist/totalitarian/criminal.

You're projecting. Ask Bernie Sanders and those who vote for him if he loves the US. They'd say he does. I really believe he has strong aspirations for US citizens, just different ways of getting there.

Let me put it another way. I don't agree with his socialistic policies, of course not. But our first priority should be getting rid of the frauds who campaign on what we want to hear and govern by what their puppet masters want.

Sanders does not love the US. He loves his communist ideal imposed on the US

You're projecting your definition of what it means to "love the USA" to replace what it probably means to Bernie Sanders. Do I agree with his solutions? No. But I regard him as an honest broker of his views.

Look at the Goldman-Sachs/influence buying situation. Both Sanders and Trump know it's wrong. Wouldn't we be better off if they got in a discussion about how to end it, and not try to solve it with folks who've sold out to the big banks?
