Sanctimony is understandable, I guess, coming from supporters of a man who did this.....to Rudy Guiliani in drag.

It's better than being in bed with the likes of Glenn Beck. Give me Guliani anytime over that blowhard fraud and joke of a talk show host.

If Trump wins the nomination, he’ll have to win the general with a coalition of Democrats and socially liberal Republicans. He won’t win conservative votes after what he’s attempted to do to Ted Cruz. He would then govern from the left. It’s important he be defeated before that can happen.

I think Donald Trump will actually do a better job than Reagan did at restoring the Republic.

If you think that, you are no better than a fool who is investing the things he wants to believe in a man who is not the least bit like Ronald Reagan, either temperamentally or ideologically.

Reagan was a conservative his entire life. Even when a Democrat [at a time when Democrats could still be conservatives] he was solidly anticommunist, and paid a price in his career to oppose The Hollywood Ten and the Socialist/Communist infiltrated writers' guilds. He was consistently humble and self-effacing.

Trump is a weather-vane who's been all over the map on immigration. In the last election cycle he criticized Romney's rather feeble self-deportation plan, not because it would still allow too many illegals to remain, but because he thought it was wrong to send illegals home. Yet now we are to believe he'll be an immigration hawk.

Single-issue pro life voters are also going to be very greatly disappointed if [May GOD Almighty forbid it!] he is sworn in. He's praised his sister -- a radical pro-abort Federal judge -- as someone who would make a "great Supreme Court Justice."

Trump has no yesterdays. He believes in nothing more than whatever statement he's just made, and hasn't defended a single one of his past, wildly contradictory, positions.

As for self-effacing and humble, I really don't think you want to go down that road.

Trump is not now, and never will be, comparable to Reagan. You are being used.

There is mass hysteria around this place. It used to be full of small-government conservatives, now it's full of this.

Rubbish. Bush’s statements on immigration doomed his campaign in the cradle. Trump didn’t have anything to do with his failures.

Whatever party might represent conservatives, Trump isn't in it.

Your page says you are skeptical about God, and that you are a physicist gone bad. Thought this might help:

The amazing thing about reason is that it has been used to prove that we can’t know everything, and that there has to be a Creator of the Universe!

Others lecture and talk *at* people in a patronizing way.

So, Trump out-politicians the politicians, and is therefore not "political." Interesting "reasoning."

Is the last four letter word in your post an anagram to keep you from getting banned?

'Cause lately, FR sure is full of "this."

As somebody with a BS in mathematics before I got my PhD in another discipline, and who uses logic in my job every moment of every day, I'm quite familiar with him.

That said, his ontological "proof" requires [like all faith] that you accept preexisting axioms. Once accepted, the conclusion follows. This is hardly convincing. There's no proof of God's existence. If there was one, we wouldn't need faith.

Additionally, I would add that during the time of his life when he was most religious, Kurt Goedel was quite insane. His fear of unknown conspiracies was so acute that he refused to eat for fear he was being poisoned, and starved himself to death.

He also said this of Islam: "I like Islam: it is a consistent [or consequential] idea of religion and open-minded".

All that in mind, I won't be taking any religious guidance from Goedel.

You have to remember, that was 17 years ago...
That was before he was running for President... It has nothing to do with the present.

You cannot judge a man for his previous position of shoving his face into the fake breasts of drag queens.

He changed his opinion on the matter... So glad he is fighting on our side for traditional family values...

In case it’s needed: /s

That's not printing money, and is no different from what any other institution that adds value to the economy does.

Learn some basic economics.

Well said. It’s really difficult for folks like me to reconcile.

I know this is a site dedicated to limited government and constitutionalism. I know that.

But it’s as if posters here have been taken over from pod people, or we’ve been dropped into Orwell’s “1984.”

CT GOP had a statewide straw poll on FRI
Trump 35 percent
Rubio 17
Cruz 16

attended by town committee types and local polls
shows GOP is comfortable with Trump as nominee

if Trump carries CT, he can win anywhere

is there any poll showing him losing any state?

Not at all. Politicians do not speak from the heart. Trump does and is more sincere than most. Have you watched a rally video?
