"The rift between Saudi Arabia and Iran has quickly ballooned into the worst conflict in decades between the two countries" says one news source adding "The back-and-forth escalation quickly turned the simmering tension into an overt struggle for power in the Middle East." And while in the west is already seeing a cold-war brewing between the two, in Iran, the populace envision a literal scenario where the complete destruction of Saudi Arabia is at hand. The animated film, produced in Iran shows what is going viral in Iran: a sinister plan to completely wipe out Arabia:
The Revenge of Fatimah Al-Zahra' (daughter of the Muhammad) begins with an anti-colonial speech by Khamenei with scenes from Riyadh towers being targeted in what they termed "the second Gulf War". The narrator then says "Saudi Arabia's Ghawar oil field is one of the most important oil fields in Saudi Arabia, and when struck by Iranian missiles, it will dry up all the economic resources that provide the core budget of the Kingdom." This echoes Isaiah: "its land shall become burning pitch" (Isaiah 34:8-10).
Iranian missiles appear in the film aiming at all of Saudi Arabia's oil fields, oil installations and all sensitive sites destroyed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ballistic missiles. The screening of what Iran dubs "The Second Gulf War" will commence in Iranian schools and universities to prep all Iranian public opinion for the near future events in the Gulf. Fatimah Zahra (daughter of the Muhammad), her revenge for her son Al-Husayn (prophet Muhammad's grand son) was 'martyred' for refusing to pledge allegiance to Yazid I, the Umayyad caliph because he considered the rule of the Umayyads unjust...

This sounds like something Obama could get behind in his effort to make Iran preeminent. He could withdraw US military assets from the Persian Gulf and just let Iran have a go at SA along with all the small gulf Arab states.

When OPEC first announced their embargo of the USA in 1973, Nixon should have announced that as a declaration of war on the USA.
The Saudi king should have been taken out - as a warning. Other members of OPEC should then have been asked if they also supported the boycott.
The boycott would have been over in a matter of hours...and we would not have had the problems we've had for the past 40 years.
