Today the Senate Judiciary Committee formally introduced Floyd Prozanski's LC 250 which we told you about earlier this week. The bill was introduced as a "Committee Bill" which means Prozanski won't have his name on it.

As you know, this bill will allow totally unqualified people to make anonymous accusations against others and claim those people are experiencing "mental health emergencies."

Oregonians voted to have the legislature meet every year, but this 'interim' session was only supposed to be for budget-related matters. The leftists are using it to push their usual agenda. After all, they have the majority in Blue Oregon.

This is scary. Does it have any chance of passing?

Black Marias are next, only in the night, but the “secret accuser” will be on the same train to the Gulag. Be ready for the diet of 7 ounces of bread a day and heavy lifting to boot.

Very Soviet indeed!

I’ve been urging citizens to flee the communist states, get out while you can, before they disarm you completely.

The Stassi bill - that would be a fitting name, wouldn’t it?

If this is a civil action and not criminal, they might have an end run around

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Gosh, I am sure no one would make false anonymous reports about people they don’t like.

If the bill passes I wonder what would happen if every legislator that votes for it gets reported as having a mental health emergency?

This is Oregon we are talking about. Of course it stands a chance of passing. A very good chance.

Neighbors informing on neighbors. “1984” is already much more real than even Orwell could have painted it. And besides, those who are reported as “mentally ill” cannot, ever, have access to any kind of sidearms.

Which is just the kind of back-door reasoning that led to the drawing up of this bill.

Mental health issues are grounds to remove 2nd amendment rights and firearms.
Being anything but progressive is considered to be mental defect

I live in Salem Oregon so I know we can be pretty liberal but it sounds extreme even for here. If it has too good of a chance of passing I probably need to try to go in and speak against it which is why I was wondering if it was just a crank bill or something more serious.

Kind of screw the sixth, eh? I wonder what happens if it gets passed and suddenly lots and lots of anonymous accusations start pouring in against say, politicians, law enforcement officers, judges and attorneys?

This is definitely serious & they are intent on passing some kind of legislation dealing with mental health. Be ready to come & speak out. This is definitely soviet-style legislation. Prozanski lives to make gun owners’ lives miserable.

Unfortunately, yes. The Dems now control everything in Oregon, thanks for jerrymandering.
