Climate Alarmists Invent New Excuse: The Satellites Are Lying

The climate alarmists have come up with a brilliant new excuse to explain why there has been no "global warming" for nearly 19 years.

Turns out the satellite data is lying.

And to prove it they've come up with a glossy new video starring such entirely trustworthy and not at all biased climate experts as Michael "Hockey Stick" Mann , Kevin "Travesty" Trenberth and Ben Santer. (All of these paragons of scientific rectitude feature heavily in the Climategate emails)

The video is well produced and cleverly constructed - designed to look measured and reasonable rather than yet another shoddy hit job in the ongoing climate wars.

Yup, urban and artificial heating is a big problem with many monitoring stations. Many were installed in the 1930s when their location was rural and out the sticks. But as time went on urban development occurred and now those monitoring stations are now located in the middle of large cities with urban heat island considerations.

At least one was located on a university campus and had had a heat generating air conditioning condenser installed a few feet away from its sensing location

In Europe they changed over to new temperature sensors that had an intrinsic increase in readings over the pre existing measuring device which gave a false steady increase in temperature as the new units were phased in.

The NASA satellites are extremely accurate and precise and provide wide area data that facilitates the data evaluation and context for locating heat islands and other such anomalies. These systems are backed up by a large number of properly placed terrestrial measuring systems used for reality checking and calibration.

The satellite data shows global warming is a nonissue currently and these systems will act as an early warning system if we ever do see warming occurring in the future to give us plenty of time to reverse the trend.

It would be great if someone would go around photographing setups like that and when the "climate changers" begin their mantra, put those photos on display.

There was a problem with the satellite data initially, maybe ten to fifteen years ago. It was identified, acknowledged, and corrected. Compare with NOAA for example, who routinely adjust past temperature records to create a nonexistent trend, and offer no explanation whatsoever for their torturing of the data.

The alarmists have to attack the satellite data somehow though because it has been the most accurate and also the source of data reveling the lack of warming for about 20 years now.
