Unfortunately, single toilets may be more likely to be used for sex acts, sleeping, shooting up drugs, etc.
I’ve been to a few cities where the toilets had the most minimal doors - reaching only from toilet rim to seated head height - that I thought must be meant to discourage such behavior.

SF being what it is, municipal building will soon be built with 57 different classifications of bathrooms to suit all gender possibilities. And the moment this is done, the freaks will invent a 58th. This is not about bathroom accommodations, and hasn't been for some time. It's about bullying.
