Saw a recent documentary on Keith Richards. He’s not only alive, he’s doing very well for someone with his reputation.

Cat People - one of those songs that I liked a lot, but when it was featured in the movie Inglorious Basterds, it was reignited for me, if you will, as it were.

Let’s dance,
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues (whatever that means)
Let’s dance,
To the song they’re playin’ on the radio

RIP Ziggy

There was a live version of “Stay” on youtube that I checked out. Adrian Belew’s guitar was amazing and Bowie just stood there smiling during the solo parts.

Plus, I'd have to repaint my bike again.

I rode this for a year after Pete Steele died and nearly went batty. :(

I'll also risk my hearing for Blue Oyster Cult. ;D

To: who knows what evil?

He was mentioned on the Simpsons tonight, in regard to a new teacher who had a cat with differently colored eyes, whom she had named Bowie.

That was a bit creepy and sad.

To: Fantasywriter; null and void

I mainly experienced David Bowie from the fantasy movie, ‘Labyrinth’. A really fun movie that expands the consciousness.

FRegards ...

I remember my female cousin as a teen mesmerized when she watched him dance and sing, probably on MTV.

“Isn’t his real last name Jones?”

Yes, I just read that, he changed it so he wouldn’t be confused with Davy Jones of the Monkees.

RIP David Bowie.

i was a Bowie fan- not huge but liked him...saw him at Madison Square Garden in 1984....gained a lot of respect for him as he was one of the first performers at the 9-11 concert just months after the attack at Madison Square Garden and sang hero’s for the fireman and police offices...he was living at NYC at the time and publicly thanked all the fireman from his local ladder company...

He was fascinating.

I preferred his older stuff, before he went into the pastel Miami Vice look.

Out of left field:

I have golf hat that belonged to Davy Jones, that was given to him on the course, by Alice Cooper.

One of my stranger collectibles.

I was never a big fan, but my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how good an actor he was. He also, unlike the stars of today, had actual talent and stayed out of trouble. Hope he made his peace with the Lord, may he rest in peace, and prayers to his loved ones.
