For a moment, earlier this year, Donald Trump was being taken seriously for his supposed straight talk, the idea being that he said what others were thinking but were held back from saying because of political correctness or some such thing. (SNIP)
âThe Donaldâ is theatrical on some (boorish) level, intentionally going without a Hollywood hairstylist or a politicianâs conventional coiffure. Remember the felonious Rep. James Traficant of Ohio and his noteworthy hairstyle? It worked for him, too. He got noticed.
(SNIP)
Trump is a caricature of a populist, come to life, who exists before the television camera and for embarrassingly large crowds. There is nothing beyond the show. There is no relevant experience, no knowledge of policy, no statesmanship. Just an act.
Listen to what Mahoning County Democratic Party Chairman David Betras, who has been on the front lines of his partyâs implosion in statewide elections, had to say:
âI hope Donald Trump isnât around when Ohioâs primary election is held because weâll have a number of Democrats pulling the Republican ballot to vote for him. His anti-free trade position will sell huge here, as will his populist message, a la Traficant.â

I think the rat worded his concern wrong. He’s not worried about the primary but the general. Only concern there would be it makes Clinton win the rat primary easier if all these rats are voting for Trump instead of Bernie in the primary.
I’m going with everything they say about him.
I’m voting for him because he’s a celebrity.
I’m voting for him because he’s a phony.
I’m voting for him because he’s a populist.
I’m voting for him because he’s going to take our guns.
I’m voting for him because he’s for big government.
I’m voting for him because he’s for single payer.
I’m voting for him because he wants to give it all to Hillary.
I’m voting for him because he’s a Democrat stooge.
This is what seemingly sane people think.
Why not go with it. Perhaps they’ll gain comfort and avoid the total meltdown when Trump trumps.
The only thing the left does is frame. It doesn’t discuss. It’s in fact anti-discussion. You can only discuss things if you agree with them. Otherwise they frame you and your arguments as already-discredited X, Y, Z. We have to get out of the trap of trying to discuss things with them because we can’t.
Gonna be hard to be a liberal for a while. Snicker.
Gay Salon, the Liberal rag. What you expect them to like a capitalist?

Trump Tower is just a facade behind a tin shack??
His relevant experience is something that the politicians and especially the chattering class has no experience with—he built something that earned a profit.
If one needs a definition of “bluster of a phony”, google “Dorkbama the Quota Boy Muslim”.
Salon comes out with another hit piece on Trump. Net result like the many before.....an endorsement for Trump.
Remember, the white liberal elites and the white conservative elites prefer a smiling, inept, non-threatening, and easily intimidated GOP candidate, and will do their part to get one.
And if they keep this up I’m going to switch my support from Cruz to Trump.
The 2 authors of this tripe.
Agreed.
In both cases, it’s the hair.

Awesome book and perfect antidote for the “Trump has no specifics” lie. Trump, if anything, is the ultimate pragmatist, he wants results and uses common sense to D.C.’s troubles.
Subjects covered include taxes, education, immigration, foreign policy, military, veterans, trade, jobs and much more.
The solutions presented are not ideological, but really common sense that seems to evade D.C. and the press. What impressed me most is how Trump comes across: Honest, really loves America and wants to genuinely fix the broken system. And with his extensive success in the business world, I believe he can.
This is exactly what Trump has been doing. They say they want a debate, but they don't, and Trump knows it. Watch him. He just cuts through the crap, tells it like it is in an over the top outrageous fashion and then changes the subject to something else they don't actually want to talk about either because it is another loser for them.
Trump has all the right enemies.
I must be missing the hairstylist look on the guy.
Obama had specifics? Hope and Change -how's that working out for everyone. We only finally got the specifics on Obama care after the lobbyists wrote the bill and Pelosi passed it so that she could find out what was in it.
Some cans you just don't want to open.
