The furor over Gov. Paul LePage's comment about "young white" girls being impregnated by out-of-state drug dealers is last week's news. This week could bring an impeachment order calling for an investigation into the Republican's alleged abuse of power.

Exactly on what basis is such proceeding justified? What law has this governor broken? Where is the evidence of High Crimes and Misdemeanors? Is there perfidy? Malfeasance? If none of these are present, then those who bring forth this frivolous BS should be heavily fined.

Not only are the girls white, but the drug dealers are primarily black. Whether that is or is not a result of history does not change 'what is'.
"A equals A" comes from Ayn Rand (who for those who don't know - was a pretty serious plain old philosopher and not just a political philosopher. Her political philosophy derived directly from her basic assumptions) - she was talking bout exactly this - and how once you play games with it, you're screwed (or a collectivist.)
That a thing ... is the same thing ... that it is. As a corollary, it is not ... something other ... than what it is.
When you can be impeached, thrown in jail, socially excommunicated for standing on that ... then it's Animal Farm land. But it's not new.

One of the silver linings though, is that these biracial kids have a much better shot at succeeding than regular black kids in the inner-cities. One of my friends has a biracial teen son, and her parents are fully involved in his life to provide structure. Plus, he had a “pal”, an older adult similar to a Big Brother or Sister. Of course, the father of the kid is in jail for not paying child support.
Not one of these Democrats had a thing to say when Robert Byrd, on TV, made his remark about white *iggers and black *iggers. I pointed out Byrd’s comments to some libs I knew at the time. Meh. BFD.
