It should be named the De-Parenting Act.
No. It’s from “cuckold” and literally means ‘sexually inadequate’.
As in neutered. Not men.
It’s a polite way of saying that their country has no men with testicular fortitude. They’ve been taken over by the PC regressive left.
Also called the Stick Your Oversized Bazoo Where It Doesn’t Belong Act.
Ping!
Good word. Thanks for the explanation. And pity the poor women and children of Scotland that they have no men.
“The problem with Scotland is that it is full of Scots”

So every family gets assigned a social worker. Well, most of us know what social workers do here. Their aim is to make everyone a ward of the state, controlled by the state. Destroying families is part of the process.
This is more intrusive than a communist block captain.

“Parents will be horrified at the suggestion of being targeted because a state guardian doesn’t regard their home as sufficiently spiritual,” she said, according to the Scottish Press.
WND has reported extensively on Scotland’s “named person” plan, which requires that a government worker be named to oversee the development of every child under age 18.

Under the program, the government worker would have the authority to make decisions for the child that the parents might oppose.
Queen’s Counsel Aidan O’Neill explained the case.
“[It’s a] Big Brother law which threatens every family in the land and diminishes the rights and responsibilities of mums and dads to look after their children as they see fit,” he said.
A social worker, Maggie Mellon, has spoken out against the plan.

The law, she said, would “bring about the end of family life as we know it.”
WND has reported the concept of a government watchdog for each child comes from the philosophy of the United Nations.
“This law shows the natural progression for a country that has ratified the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child and attempts to live up to its treaty provisions,” said Michael Donnelly, director of international relations for Home School Legal Defense Association.
This is not a homeschool topic per se, but it is a topic that every homeschooling parent needs to be aware of as it could eventually affect them.
I wonder how many Scots are regretting the vote not to succeed from the UK?
Thanks for the ping. It’s shocking to think that such a thing is being proposed anywhere in the world.
That's funny -- we just had DSHS place a relative's child with the father when all of us said it would be much better to find a good foster family.
Scots are like certain minority groups in the US: high rates of bastardy. It is expected to exceed 50% this year. There’s a great many children to look out for.

Thanks, Whenifhow.
If I am reading this right, parents will have no rights.
Or will it be pimps for the girls and slave driver women for the boys?
The city of Malad has a very large population of Americans of Welsh heritage. Possibly the largest concentration of people of Welsh heritage outside of Wales. There is an annual Welsh Festival in June. The festival usually takes on a Celtic theme as Scots and Irish music and dance performers arrive to enjoy the festivities.
There are other Welsh communities and publications published on US soil.
Think this is something new?
I’s still on the shelf here in this country.
I and friends fought this monster off over 30 year ago in my state right here.
This ‘person’ in question was to be called a ‘Home visitor” - who would come to ALL homes where there was a child age 0-18 (Zero meaning pregnant mother) - The ‘visitor’ would assess such things as interaction between parent and child, what was in the refrigerator - even the kind of toothpaste - used.
The qualifications for said person? “At least a high school education.”
We fought it to the ground in conferences around the state, in the media and in the halls of our state capitol - and haven’t heard anything of it since. But I’m sure it’s still lurking....and no doubt Madam “It Takes a village” would bring it out of mothballs.
this is part of the UN scheme - and ‘belief’ that children belong to the government. Parents are but caretakers.
It’s hard to believe this monster is still out there.
Be vigilant.
