Congress's first Muslim member, Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, and nine other Democrats are inviting Muslim guests to Tuesday's State of the Union address to combat the anti-Muslim rhetoric of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and growing anti-Muslim sentiment in the electorate.
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., said she's helping to organize the effort because "leading political figures have made offensive and outrageous suggestions that we should create a national registry of all people of one particular faith and that we should prevent any person of that faith from even entering this great country."
Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wis., said Thursday he would follow suit to "show solidarity with the American-Muslim community at a time of escalating bigotry and discrimination."

I would hope that the GOP loses all sense of decorum and loudly boos Obama at every opportunity.
Perhaps throw shoes at him as he walks by.
The biggest dis of all would be simply not invite him to give his SOTU speech during a joint session, then challenge him to write an executive order stating he legally can.

I’ll go one further. I, personally, think that it would be terribly insulting to them if they were frisked for weapons, explosive belts, and so on.

There go the Democrats again bending over backwards to appease the practitioners of the religion of peace while taking every oppurtunity to denigrate and insult the huge majority Christian population in this country. The Democratic Party is in for a rude awakening beginning next November, and it’s about damn time!
I thought the Republicans were the stupid party. Tone deaf to an American public sick about the lies being forced on them about islam being peaceful and watching all the terrorism, murders, rape and slavery being perpetrated in the name of islam. No, we do not want that religion here.
Democrats are getting braver and more confident.
They don’t even try to disguise their agenda and true loyalties as they did just a few years ago.
In the age of Obama hey don’t mind showing their true colors and who they are really allied with.
If Hillary can gain the presidency it won’t be long before they openly call for the FEMA camps for the rest of us.
I am constantly amazed at the superior moral authority of certain Democrat Party members to absolve minorities of all sin.
