Ted Cruz Rejects Trump Plan for Mass Deportation Roundup
Wall Street Journal ^ | 1/10/16 | HARRIET TORRY

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says he doesn't support sending forces to round up and deport illegal immigrants, likening such a policy to "a police state."

"I don't intend to send jackboots to knock on your door and every door in America, that's not how we enforce the law for any crime," Mr. Cruz told CNN in an interview broadcast Sunday.

The media just looks ridiculous.

Trump isn't proposing this.
No one is proposing this.

A pro-Cruz story is fine (I like Cruz pretty well) but to "distinguish" Cruz from Trump by implying that Cruz won't be sending out jack-booted thugs to round up illegal aliens is just sophomoric.

And, by the way, the Wall St Journal absolutely cannot be trusted on Immigration. They are thoroughly pro-Amnesty and would NEVER print an honest piece on this topic. My comment in this regard is intended to reflect on the WSJ and not on Cruz.

Not ready for prime time. That’s why he’s second in Texas, we know we won’t get satisfaction on this issue from him.

Sorry Ted, but I want every damn one of them kicked out. First step is to deny all welfare to the illegals and watch a few of them leave. Then pick up the rest and dump. Trump is right.

Trump for President.

Thats because Cruz nows that Trumps approach is:

1) Unconstitutional - since it would violate the 4th Amendment on warrantless searches and seizures.

2) Unworkable because it would allow the left to whip up a level of hysteria and rioting which would stop the whole immigration crackdown.

Instead Cruz supports taking away benefits to illegals, requiring e-verify so that illegals can’t jobs, deporting any illegals that have run ins with the police or other law enforcement, massively increasing the enforcement at the border so that no more illegals can get in. This will effectively solve the immigration problem in a few years with no muss and no fuss.

In other words, the law and the constitution trump everything else. Unlawful, unconstitutional acts will not be part of a Cruz presidency. We had enough of that already under Emperor “I have a pen and a phone” Obama.

Ike successfully did it in 1954 with Operation Wetback ... and it worked so well that libtards are seething to this very day!

"Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says he doesn't support sending forces to round up and deport illegal immigrants, likening such a policy to "a police state.""

Which is why I don't want Cruz as President of the USA, VP of the USA or even Attorney General.
He's a good man in other respects except for his views on immigration and H1B visas (giving away US jobs to foreigners). Immigration (particularly the Third World kind) must be terminated and reversed. It's wrecking America and is dispossessing native born Americans of their land and culture.

This is media-manufactured nonsense. Cruz is saying no such thing.

"I don't intend to send jackboots to knock on your door and every door in America, that's not how we enforce the law for any crime," Mr. Cruz told CNN in an interview broadcast Sunday.

EVERY door? No. But FWIS, the jackboots are always waiting if you aren't either a protected sub-group du jour or you have connections. Don't pay your taxes to the state's satisfaction and see how lenient they are and how many of them are wearing bedroom slippers when they do decide get in touch.

Come on, Ted. You are better than this.

Here is my common sense plan for the immigration issues.
1. Build an impenetrable fence.
2. Immediately deport any illegal with a criminal record.
3. Deport anyone who belongs to La Raza or any other anti-American organization.
4. Deport any illegal who is on public assistance of any kind.
5. For the rest of them, if they have lived here and are employed and paying taxes, let them pay a 10,000 fine and stay here, but lose the right to vote.

Did you even read or hear what he said or just basing commentary on headline? FReepers are truly surprising me in their lack of any research these days. See the true constitutionalist and anti establishment (before it became faux pau was and always has been Cruz. He wants to return ICE back to its original mission of catch and deport hence not again growing the size of government exponentially through the formation of a gestapo aka truly enforce the laws on the books. Something I’d expect to be a conservative position. However conservatism has played 2nd fiddle during this cycle to emotions something liberals use in their path to reaching conclusions.

Sad indeed
