Thank you very much for posting this story. This is an abomination and will result in the weakening of a strong arm of our defense. When you go into battle, you need to have troops that are able to perform at a level to overcome the enemy. The Marines are the gold standard for a rapid mobile force that can be placed into any environment and hold it, without any reservations. This is a treasonous act that, unless it is reversed, will hurt our nation and those marines that are placed in such a predicament (regardless of gender). This next election is too important to ever consider voting for a Democrat or GOPe, whether at the federal or state level. Our military strength has been dissipated by the last eight years, and will need time to rebuild. I pray that we have the time to rebuild and strengthen our armed forces.

The USAF spent way too much time trying to come up with an alternative to “airman”. Nobody could. I think eventually the Pentagon just gave up. In a 30-year career, I never heard a single female service member complain about being called an airman. They, as we, wear it as a badge of honor.

A Navy HM3 assigned to Marines is a Corpsman, male or female.

And just for fun, I think 0351 Assaultman is the coolest name for an MOS in the Corps. What are they going to do with that one?
