U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz overwhelmingly won a straw poll of Minnesota Republican activists on Saturday, an early sign of strength as GOP presidential candidates begin to eye the state's upcoming presidential caucus.
Cruz, of Texas, finished first among 14 Republican candidates in the poll of 283 influential party activists gathered for the Minnesota GOP's State Central Committee, claiming 90 votes. That was almost twice the votes claimed by the second-place finisher, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who had 46 votes. Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina came in third with 33 votes.

Celebrity businessman Donald Trump finished fourth in Saturday's straw poll, with 29 votes, followed by Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul with 28. Retired neurologist Ben Carson had 23 votes.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie each had four votes, followed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich with three and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum with two each. Nineteen voters were undecided, and three candidates got no votes: South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, and two other former governors: New York's George Pataki and Virginia's Jim Gilmore.

Excellent! All in for Ted!
So, they hand picked about 200 people? Seems legit.
Minnesota GOP’s State Central Committee...
I don’t know that that is a sterling endorsement. I thought Ted was anti-establishment.
“...in the poll of 283 influential party activists gathered for the Minnesota GOP’s State Central Committee,...”
Here’s your answer: The GOPe (aka The State Central Committee). Just a bunch of mini-Rancid Priuses.
The Central Committee would like to tell you who you can cast your vote for next November.
Even the RINOs can tell which way the wind is blowing.

Ted is working hard to maintain that illusion.
Four votes for Jebbie seems unusually large to me for such a weak candidate.
Republican activists are the cream of the base.
Wonder who had to leave Lindsey blank because the South Carolinian vacated the campaign
I still say voting for Cruz is a big mistake. Neither Jeb Bush nor Hillary (or her replacement) is going to let this citizenship issue lie. They will find a judge who will take Article II, Section I, Clause seriously, and that will be that. Jeb takes some proportion of Cruz’ and Rubio’s delegates, or Hillary takes the white house. Do not listen to the pundits, do not vote for Rubio or Cruz.
Speaking of polls
The NRSC is all over FACEBOOK again today with their presidential poll.

Just be aware that when you vote for Trump you will get emails trying to sell you BOGUS Trump gear and the $$ goes to finance Rubio and Cruz (who used to head the NRSC!)and other senate republicans!
This is the National Republican Senatorial Committee and they are CONNING you to hurt the Trump campaign!
They’ve been doing this for months. http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/2015/09/more-gop-fundraising-on-trump-name-now.html
LOL. Now Cruz is a favorite of the GOPe. You shouldn't start drinking this early in the day.
Wimp. Take the fetal position. Those big meanies are going to determine who I vote for because I have no nads.
Both of them (drum roll.....cymbal crash)
the Minnesota GOP’s State Central Committee, aka GOPolitburo.
All you need to know. The donor class candidate with the globalist agenda.
There are republicans in MN. Who knew...
