HOUSTON, Texas - The Cruz for President campaign announced Bob Vander Plaats as National Co-Chair for Cruz. Vander Plaats, who previously endorsed Cruz last month, is the President and CEO of The FAMiLY LEADER and an influential conservative and evangelical leader. Vander Plaats has been with Cruz on the road in Iowa this week during the "Cruzin' for Caucus" Iowa bus tour, hitting 28 counties in six days.
"The courageous and fearless leader we need during these difficult times facing our nation is Ted Cruz," said Vander Plaats. "Our goal is to unite conservatives around a strong and consistent leader and we are already seeing that happen. With Ted Cruz in the White House in 2016 we will turn this country around."
"With Bob's leadership we will succeed in uniting conservatives around this country," said Cruz. "Bob is an inspiring leader in the conservative movement with the values and tested ability to help us fight to restore the principles that made this country exceptional. I’m grateful to have such a tireless advocate for liberty on our team. If we as conservatives come together, we will win."

Good! I like that guy!
It’s Iowa or bust for Rafael Edward Cruz. Who here thinks he will win it?
I personally don’t think he will, but it’s certainly in the realm of possibility.
Whether he wins Iowa or not, this is yet another indication that while Ted Cruz is running to win the Iowa Caucus, Donald Trump is running for President of the United States.
Sounds like Cruz is running for National Pastor.
You’ve got this weird thing about calling Ted Cruz either “Rafael Edward Cruz” or “Teddy.” You just despise the guy for some reason, don’t you?
Good for Bob, he was one of the nicest guys I knew in Iowa.
This is a great addition to the Cruz team, and bodes well for coalescing the base nationally for Cruz as he looks past IA.
Sounds like Cruz is running for National Pastor.

I admire his resume, and ability to debate. He was my first choice. And then I started seeing the lies. And not little ones. HUGE ones, like this:
Ted Cruz Conflicting Stances on Birthright Citizenship [14th Amendment]
This is really indefensible. Then is proposal for a 500% increase in H1-B visas and an increase in legal immigration (without changing Ted Kennedy's 1965 balance.) Immigration is my #1 issue, and I cannot trust Cruz to do the right thing.
I can not believe anyone thinks Cruz can beat Hillary. Name recognition wins elections. It will take independents and some democrats to win this and Cruz has neither. Picking a guy known for nothing but fighting gay marriage and pushing religion to run his campaign isn’t going to help him.
In booth there will two choices. Name recogintion may help get people to the poles but there’s still a choice in the booth.
I watched that video twice. Where is there any "lie"? Where is there any inconsistency? There is none. If you objectively compare the statements of 2011 vs. 2015 in that video, there is no contradiction and no change in position.
If you believe otherwise, post the contradictory quotes here and let's have a discussion.
