Bill Clinton Campaigns, And His Sexual Baggage May Tag Along

BY THOMAS MCARDLE

Considering how unexpectedly well she's weathering the ServerGate scandal (with an invaluable assist from dead-on rival Bernie Sanders), the search for Hillary Clinton's Achilles' heel may be fruitless. But what about her other heel -- as in "a contemptibly dishonorable or irresponsible person"?

Former President Bill Clinton, who goes solo on the New Hampshire campaign trail on behalf of his wife for the first time this week, is supposedly the ex-first lady's secret weapon. His speech to the 2012 Democrat convention, after all, stole the show from Barack Obama and proved that Slick Willie still has his old on-the-stump magic.

It was a barnburner that dismissed "the Republican narrative" as an "alternate universe" and contended, "What works in the real world is cooperation," not the GOP's "politics of constant conflict."

Attacking Republican tax cutting, Bill Clinton told the crowd how "I was just a country boy from Arkansas, and I came from a place where people still thought two and two was four. It's arithmetic."

But how will that cornpone charm fare against women who raise the matter of Juanita Broaddrick and the slew of other cases of apparent sexual abuse in the ex-president's past? If women accuse the "country boy" of being a shrewd manipulator of the opposite sex, the "alternate universe"-vs.-"real world" motif may point straight to the 42nd president's double life in voters' minds.

On Sunday at a Derry, New Hampshire town hall, Hillary's answer to a woman in the crowd who forcefully tried to bring up Bill's past was to tell her, "You are very rude, and I'm not ever going to call on you."

Speaking of ‘baggage’:

“If you want to remain on this detail, get your f**king ass over here and grab those bags!”
(From the book “The First Partner” p. 259 - Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.)

Where are the out-and-out denials by the Clintons of each and every one of the sexual assault and rape allegations, and the potential threats of slander or libel suits?

Kirsten Powers - A tale of two Bills: Cosby, Clinton and predatory men

Kirsten Powers

“Bimbo eruptions” no more. Today’s sexual assault accusers given presumption of truth.

Much has changed since Bill and Hillary Clinton were swept into the White House amidst sordid tales about the Arkansas governor’s extra-marital sex life.

Back then, a senior campaign aide (Betsey Wright) on a Democratic campaign could utter the phrase “bimbo eruptions” to demean women claiming to have had an affair with Bill Clinton. Today, such utterances would be rightly deemed unequivocally sexist.

It was a time when a top Democratic loyalist (James Carville) unabashedly sneered at Paula Jones’ allegations of unwanted sexual advances by then-Gov. Clinton with the infamous quip, “If you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.” Most famously, there was a young intern named Monica Lewinsky smeared by a senior White House aide (Sidney Blumenthal) as a “stalker.” Blumenthal reportedly also told journalists that the 49-year-old president of the United States had been “the victim of a predatory and unstable sexually demanding young woman,” age 22. The president went on to become one of the most respected men in the world. Lewinsky’s life was destroyed.

Until fairly recently, this kind of treatment was par for the course, especially if a woman had the particular misfortune of being victimized by a powerful man. Complaining women were far too often cast as the cause of their own sexual harassment and even sexual assault. They would be caricatured as voracious sex monsters, mentally unstable bimbos or gold diggers. Or all of the above.

Just ask the other Bill.

Bill Cosby clearly understood the world in which he lived. He operated like a man who knew that the decks were stacked in his favor in the court of public opinion, if not the actual courts.

If he campaigns, he’s fair game.

She could easily be driven insane by proper questioning.

Trump has begun asking Hillary the largely rhetorical question about how Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby are different.

For one thing, we don’t think her husband used drugs.

According to Slick Willie, in every case, when he appeared, these women fell over on their backs, dropped their drawers, spread their legs and smiled at him. He wasn’t clear if that was BEFORE or AFTER he smacked them in the mouth!

Trump is trumping Hillary on this. It’s just the beginning of a political clock cleaning, a massive schlonging. She just lost her ability to use the War on Women nonsense. I doubt she will ever mention a women victim of male abuse, every again.

The Clintons have such a long list of failures & crimes that Trump can destroy Clinton every week from now to November with a different Clinton scandal.

Now, imagine a Republican campaign without Trump. Only Fiorina has the balls to attack Hillary. Too bad she is not so impressive.

The rest, led by wimpy Jeb would never attack Hillary. They are above that, don’t you know. Hillary would lie & lie while they just stammer. She can’t lose against the politically correct GOPe.

“The rest, led by wimpy Jeb would never attack Hillary. They are above that, dont you know.”

Yes, and G.W. was the first ex-President to follow Emily Post in being prim and proper by not daring to criticize either Bill Clinton or Barry Obama.

What a dope.

If I were Trump or Cruz, I would get a protester to follow the Clintons around and carry a sign saying, “If rape victims should be believed, what about Juanita Broadderick”.
