The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is throwing its weight behind President Obama's Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade agreement between the United States and 11 other nations.

-snip-

The Chamber is the third business group to offer support for the deal this week, joining the National Association of Manufacturers and the Business Roundtable.

They are no longer conservative. We accomplished almost nothing else in the past 30 years beside lowering their taxes and now they don’t need us any more, do they? I am in favor of raising them back. This is not about economics it is about getting even and changing the way they think about the rest of us.

Mark my words....if they keep it up and all of us quit showing up on Election Day, they are going to get a little taste of what life is like under President Elizabeth Warren.

Didn't they support Obamacare? If so, we can assume if they support TPP, it must be bad.

I'm with you. I prepared hundreds of tax returns, personal and business, over the past 40 years. I know all of the theoretical and practical reasons for lowering marginal rates, and simplifying the tax code. On my alumni forum, I can't remember how many times I crushed liberals on tax policy.

After seeing what Congress and the Chamber of Crony Capitalism did to the tax code, and how billionaires and connected elites game the system, I don't care anymore. If Bernie Sanders wants to tax Harrison Ford, LeBron James, Eric Cantor, et al at a 90% marginal rate, I simply don't care. Small business owners, the bedrock of our economy, have been so screwed for so long by Obama and the UniParty, they're the ones that need tax and regulatory relief...and they aren't getting any help.

Rant off.

The Chamber of Commerce must be seen as an anti-American organization. They do not support constitutional republican-democracy. Instead they tirelessly work for internationalist corporatocracy.

Though they want free access to markets, they do not want to pay taxes, hire Americans, produce products and services in America, or otherwise support our nation and its people.

They will, however, support internationalist socialism, with the idea of the taxpayers in nations paying for their employees health care, retirement and other benefits, so they don’t have to.

They absolutely support open borders, but solely so they can get the cheapest workforce possible. They would fully endorse slavery if they could get it. And they outsource to nations that have what approaches slavery in their working conditions.

No bones about it, these people are scum. And they, and the politicians they support deserve absolutely no respect or consideration from America. The names of the latter should be stricken from our buildings and monuments, and they should forfeit all their ill gotten gains to the treasury, as well as being barred from office, and any corporation that hires them should be denied federal contracts.

Surprise, surprise, the mouth-piece of crony-capitalism is in favor of cementing a package of measures that tilt the balance of power in favor of large market incumbents and against start-ups and small businesses!

If the US Chambers of Corrupt Crony Commerce support TPP that is, in and of itself a sufficient reason to oppose it. Even the corrupt Congresscritters cannot be soooooo stupid as to fail to grasp that as the sovereignty of our nation is relentlessly eroded by these corrupt trade deals and their globaloney supporters, the “business” thieves will have no reason to keep on bribing Congress. Small wonder that Bonehead retired.

Outstanding post!!! They would indeed endorse slavery and they seem to be well on the way to re-establishing it.
