I could tell at the onset that both HIPAA and HITECH were bad, evil, and intended from the outset to control and tyrannize others. Along with REAL ID, and myriad other unconstitutional excesses, there is no possibility for salvation of any of them. They must be destroyed as inherently un-American.

"REAL ID" will morph into a national ID card system ever so slowly over years and years. You won't even have access to a gas pump, school, bank, or mall in 2020 unless you scan your national ID card.

The one real problem is companies, including hospitals, would not spend the money to protect your data without a law forcing them too.

I work with them every day. Very little money is spent because “its the right thing to do”.

The key with this as with all laws is that they never benefit the individual citizen. They are only used as weapons against him to benefit the government.

Example: We have plenty of laws against burglary and theft. If a citizen is robbed or his car is stolen, it is extremely rare that the police/government will do anything to catch the perp. If the vic is a politician it’s a whole different story. Then the full force of the law comes out to catch the criminal.

Another example: Voter intimidation. Look sideways at a black voter or an illegal or someone who votes multiple times and you’ll be in court. (And have your taxes audited and any other harassment the 0vomit administration can come up with.) But the Black Panthers can intimidate white voters without any interference. The feds actually cover for them.

I have to tell you, as healthcare provider, I have been bullied and pushed around more than once by people (likely liberal government toads) that love to saunter into our clinic and shake their fingers at us at every imagined HIPPA violation they can dream up — a record left out on the desk for 2 minutes — a screen tilted so they catch a glimpse of someone’s address. I get so sick of it ...random strangers coming in and threatening to sue over their perceived “violation” of HIPPA — it gets OLD.
