Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who has been boosting Donald Trump for president, took to Twitter on Wednesday to declare that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is not a natural born citizen.

BOTH of them are wrong. COMPLETELY WRONG. They can make an argument. They can opine as to what they think..but NO ONE can know how those Justices would rule when they have already shown they may not agree on the requirement should it ever be brought before them.

Some info claims that Ted’s Mom and Dad became Canadian citizens during the 8 years they lived in Canada.
Cruz's change in immigration just shows you that he is a politician just like the rest of the establishment. Cruz sees he is behind in the polls so he feels that he has to go to the right of Trump to garner more support.
This just shows that he would be willing to 'modify' his positions in the general election to garner more support. He's not trustworthy.

So the one remaining question is whether Ted Cruz was a citizen at birth. That’s an easy one. The Nationality Act of 1940 outlines which children become “nationals and citizens of the United States at birth.†In addition to those who are born in the United States or born outside the country to parents who were both citizens — or, interestingly, found in the United States without parents and no proof of birth elsewhere — citizenship goes to babies born to one American parent who has spent a certain number of years here.

As you said, that ship sailed with Obama, though not without a fair amount of intensive research and investigation on the matter.
A child born to a parent who is an American citizen is a natural-born citizen.

The only way he’s not is if his mother had gained Canadian citizenship and renounced her US citizenship prior to his birth in 1970, which I don’t think happened.
Isn’t it amazing how Trump’s talking points are picked up. Last week a bunch of Freepers were denying Cruz is a Christian.

Obama and Cruz were both born in Canada to American mothers. The only difference is that Cruz’s mother was old enough to be able to confer citizenship onto her baby.
Obama’s mother was a teen and not old enough. No one cared about things like that because no doubt she was to give her half black “bastard” (we are talking 1961) up for adoption to another family. She changed her mind, though, and showed up with a newborn she had no idea how to care for, back in her hometown Seattle.
Why else would Obama have never been able to get a Social Security number, and had to borrow one? There is no other explanation that makes sense.
Cruz was born an American. From the moment he was born. Obama needed to naturalize. He chose instead to fake that he was a citizen, with fake birth papers. The truth is that he is an appointed fraudulent citizen, having been GIVEN without documentation a US passport when he became a senator. But hey, he’s the leader of the land.
