.....Donald Trump will speak at Liberty University on Jan. 18, the latest presidential hopeful to address the conservative school founded by the late Jerry Falwell.

Trump - who spoke in 2012 at the Virginia school - is scheduled to address the school's students on the first day of classes for the spring semester, the News & Advance in Lynchburg reported.

Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. told the newspaper that he and his wife, Becki, have stayed in "close contact" with Trump since his 2012 appearance on campus. Falwell and Trump also spoke after Falwell's December appearance on "The Sean Hannity Show," in which the school president defended his decision in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting to end a rule prohibiting students from bringing guns into dorms. Becki Falwell told the newspaper that Trump had called Falwell, telling him he was proud of him and that he liked that Falwell had compared Trump favorably to the late Jerry Falwell.

I've gotta hand it to Liberty, they are more fair and balanced than most universities. They even had Bernie Sanders there....and treated him with respect.

This is what a college is supposed to be like. It is only the racistsexistbigotedhomophobicNeanderthalChristian colleges today that exemplify the original purpose of the university.

Indeed, it is. My sister-in-law is a student at the medical college attached to their university.

I am willing to believe Trump when he says he’s “pro-life,” even though the term has no definition. I.e., it tells the voter nothing about what a candidate will be willing to DO once in office.

Here’s my concern about Trump: He comes from a social milieu in which I think practically no one appreciates that continued abortion WILL DESTROY the United States. Abortion is NOT an “issue” or a “special interest” that we can just manage and tolerate, as the Republican Party has been managing and tolerating it for 45 years. The U.S. government has been ILLEGITIMATE since January 22, 1973, and will remain illegitimate until the governors of the states nullify the abortion decisions of the USSC.

The U.S. Constitution and the American People cannot co-exist with the “abortion liberty” for much longer.

One question, Reagan was obviously pro life but what was he able to change when he was president? I’m not being a smart alec, but with abortion the president is pretty limited since the supremes deemed it constitutional.

With that said, I don’t think Trump can do much... and I don’t think he would do much to help or hurt the current situation. I just don’t think this is on his top 10 list of things he plans to do anything with.

Reagan COULD have informed the governors of all fifty states that if they nullified Roe and Doe by enforcing their states’ laws against abortion, he would not lift a finger.

Reagan COULD have supported stripping abortion from the appellate jurisdiction of the USSC—something George W. Bush never proposed during the SIX YEARS the Republicans controlled the House and Senate.

Reagan DID work with Jesse Helms on legislation to declare the fetus a person within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. According to Roe v. Wade, if Congress does that, “appellant’s case collapses.” I.e., Roe v. Wade collapses.

The CATHOLIC BISHOPS lobbied in Congress to kill the idea. And this is the reason: The bishops were afraid that if Reagan did something substantive to end or reduce abortion, TOO MANY CATHOLICS WOULD BE BECOME REPUBLICANS. This is first-hand information direct to me from a senior aide to Helms.
