After many years of pondering the differences between the conservative and liberal ideas and methods, I was finally able to articulate what I consistently saw: Conservatives want to convince you of the correctness of their position. Liberals want to force you to submit to their position, whether or not it's correct. You just put the same idea more succinctly.

It’s a complicated process to explain but it basically involves filling seats with Phd’s in their field to reach accreditation. I have a friend with a PhD in something I can’t explain and she has never worked a day in her life because her field is not taught anywhere. In the old days, she could teach anything because she has a PhD.
To put it succinctly, they won’t work anywhere else.
She was just protecting the MU Football Program which rakes in 83 million dollars per year.

I appreciate the kind words but I didn’t arrive at that thought on my own. Several conservative columnists probably said it before me but the first person I heard phrase it in that way was Jonah Goldberg in his book “Liberal Fascism”.

Conservative: “What do you think about that?”
Liberal: “How does that make you feel?”
