So any doctor can pronounce someone crazy, from a psychiatrist, to an allergist, to podiatrist, to colo-rectal surgeon?
To: dp0622
32 years ago - the doctor has probably long since shredded the files. Don’t ask, don’t tell.

Never say anything in a doctor’s office about being depressed. Fake (if you have to) a happy attitude while there. If your foot is cut off, tell the doc that is okay, you have another one. Get the idea?

I always do. As a matter of fact, people who slow the line at the grocery check out who use their debit cards piss me off. I use cash.

The term mentally illness covers a broad area. As an example, agoraphobia as well as many other benign phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, non-clinical depression, anxiety, gambling addiction, sexual addiction, just to name a few. Interestingly, drug addiction is now considered a mental illness. We will see most doctors reporting just about everyone in order to cover themselves and avoid lawsuits, should someone go postal. This will be a mess.

Everything the one has done is either unlawful, or unconstitutional.
He is pleased with your assessment.

Wait till a Christian says, “I am full of joy, I have hope, I love and want to help my fellow man, etc.”
That will certainly be called INSANE (already done in old Soviet Union).

Think that the government wants to take your guns away? Obviously paranoid, and your guns should be taken.
Think that the government doesn’t want to take your guns away? Obviously lost touch with reality, and your guns should be taken.
Those two things should cover most folks.

Not retroactive.
She came up as kind of ‘mental’ on the background check.

This cuts both ways. Liberals have been trying to prevent this so I was surprised when Obama came up with this. Currently, if someone walks into his psychiatrist office and says he is going to buy a bunch of guns and hit a mall of thousands of people, the doctor cannot divulge that.
Obviously there is no due process on the terrorist watchlist or the no fly list, but it might make sense to establish a due process when dealing with psychopaths who openly state their intentions to doctors.
To: Mariner
Geez, does this mean I need to quit seeing my shrink? /s
