You have to give Captain Daniel Shays this: When he launched his armed sedition against lawful authority, he at least was invited in. Overnight on Saturday, in an obscure corner of the Oregon wilderness, and contrary to the law, and in defiance of democratic authority, both federal and local, another act of armed sedition was committed. It seems to me that this ought to be a bigger story than, say, the belated prosecution of Bill Cosby, or whatever most recently came out of the mouth of the vulgar talking yam. There has been no Constitutional Law in effect the last 6 years, not when limited Executive authority has been corrupted and abused, and its related "Justice Department" used to undermine the checks and balances of the judicial system.
When such abuse and usurpations are flagrantly in play, and the legislative Constitutional duties similarly corrupted and abused, What Constitutional remedy is left?

What they did was set some controlled brush fire burns, to help avoid future disastrous WILDFIRES.

And they called that ‘arson’ and jailed them for a few months.
But obama’s federal government could not leave it at that- they say the mandatory minimum sentence is 4 years and want to send this old man and his son BACK to jail. After they served their sentence.
If that is not double-jeopardy I don’t know what is.

The feds ARE doing this every year. They either let forest fires burn out of control, or by deliberately lighting ‘controlled burns’ that get out of control, all in an attempt to ‘restore’ our forests back to ‘normal’. It’s a policy that comes from the very top, from officials appointed under libtard administrations such as Obama’s. They don’t get charged with arson when their ‘controlled burns’ get out of control and burn down people’s structures or fence lines. Then it’s just an accident.

Trish nobody in the rational militia movement thinks Aamon Bundy is making a smart play. Stewart Rhodes and Mike Vanderboeh have both advised him against this misadventure. The Oregon state militia are refusing to get involved. The Hammond’s don’t want their help and the community is not out in the streets protesting.
The Hammond’s have reported to jail and its a matter for the courts at this point.
The Bundy brother’s and about 20 others are 50 miles out in the woods in an unoccupied forestry cabin. Its non productive and they need to go home and wait for real fight to come along.

I don't agree. This is about far more than the Hammonds, and it is not up to them to decide if this is an issue that is bigger than they are. There are those who are willing to wait. There are those who are willing to act.
This is the real fight, and long overdue.
