Why do we continue to support this Islamonazi despot?
Erdogan is butt buddy to the muslim brotherhood. He is dying to be muslim dictator. I’m in favor of half of that.

They dying part, of course ;)
How very....Obama of him.
The Kurds are sunni by majority. It is the old type of sunni I understand that teaches tolerance. The first of the old Ottomans were the same.
Art. 5 of the Kurdish constitution gaurentees freedom of religion. Art 11 establishes a ministry to enforce that freedom.
How long that holds is anyones guess. But, I see the Kurds as an asset to the region, why? Because of the persecution by the Turks and the rest in that region.
They are different. Take a look on youtube of the children of kurdistan. They are a whole different ethnic group.
Just look at the United States of America.
Moonbeam is a sideshow.
Why would you have figured that?
The only way the satellite dishes could invade is if the Turks bought and installed them. The free market, IOW. Thus, the Turks have no case that the West invaded.
Of course, the more devout Turks might well have been annoyed by the choices of their neighbors. After all, do not liberals all across the world decry the "excesses" of the free market?
Now, if the Turkish dish owners are feeling oppressed, it behooves them to rise up and murder their rulers! Exterminate the devout! Just like Ceaușescu! Lest Uncle Volodya do it first (and with much collateral)!
You’ve got a point. I’ve spent a lifetime being rather religious and critical of the culture and the cultural choices of others.
I also was imbibing the culture I critiqued so quickly.
Erdogan’s crowd is probably of that mentality.
I’ve figured out by now following God is not an intellectual or emotional proposition as it is for folks like Erdogan.
It involves taking the right actions including ending drunkenness and living soberly for starters in my case.
I need to deal with my issues to be right with God instead of being critical of others and trying to use government power against them in the name of God.
Many years ago, a wise Roman noted:
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.
Erdogan is a ruler wielding a uniquely useful and powerful tool: Islam. And it doesn't hurt that his son is getting rich laundering ISIS's oil exports.
Even Hitler and Himmler flirted with the idea of Islam because they thought it the perfect religion for soldiers.
