Erdogan: We Can Have a Presidential System With a Unitary State, Just Look at Hitler!
PJ Media ^ | 01-01-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Turkish president ErdoÄŸan wants his country's Parliament to adopt a new Constitution in 2016 that would empower the president and weaken the legislative body. Because many Turks are worried by this prospect -- fearing that it would turn him into a dictator -- he tried to comfort them yesterday.

He did so by pointing out that a so-called presidential system and a unitary state certainly are possible. Just look at Hitler's Germany!

I kid you not:

"There is no such thing as 'no presidential system in unitary states.' There are examples of this around the world. There are examples in the past, too. When you look at Hitler's Germany, you can see it there. You can see examples in other countries as well. What is important is that a presidential system should not disturb the people in its implementation. If you provide justice, there will be no problem because what people want and expect is justice."

ErdoÄŸan wants to create a Turkish-style presidential system because he believes that the separation of powers weakens the state to act. Of course that's exactly why Western conservatives and libertarians support it, but the Turkish president has a slightly different opinion. To him, having a "double-headed government" is a problem, not an advantage. And so he wants to get rid of it. The result of this will, of course, be that he'll become the most powerful Turkish politician since the Ottoman sultans.

Some want to say Putin is the big bad guy in the world, asks Kurds and ask Armenians how they feel about Turks, then look at President Erdogan and his Hugo Chavez style ambitions for more power at the top.

The EU nations and the US make nice with him, even the Israelis were said to be working on reconciliation in recent weeks.

I wasn’t sure about things when Erdogan first came to power, figuring the Turks were entitled to be upset about the wild culture of the West invading their country via satellite dishes and such.

But Erdogan is an Islamist version of Chavez worse because he is more willing to use more violence than Chavez or Maduro have done in Venezuela.

The Turks and the Saudis are the lynchpins of the comming world war.
The Kurds are the key. Support the Kurds and the creation of a Kurdish country. The Turks and Saudis do not want a Kurdish state, because the Kurds would take the region over economically. They already are to an extent. Just take a look at the city of Erbil.

Erdogan ought to remember that Ceaucescue had a unitary government too.

Well at least he asking the parliament to do it. That’s a step up from Obama.

Speaking at Kanal D TV's Arena program in 2007, Turkey's Prime Minister (now President) Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the term "moderate Islam", often used in the West and said, "These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that's it."

He’s absolutely right.

Good Muslims want to kill everyone who is not a Good Muslim.
The Muslims who do not want to kill us are included in the “not a Good Muslim” category and are in danger of being killed by the Good Muslims, just as much as we are.

“Moderate Islam” us a stupid term.

War between Russia and Turkey—just like old times! NATO should kick Turkey out—Not a good deal to start WW III over Syria or Turkey.

I’m wondering why there even is a Turkey anymore. I’m good with their termination as a nation state.

Just look at California. And, as with Hitler, a certifiable nutbag is at the top.
