Her middle name is Candida.
Falling asleep behind the wheel is dangerous too.
Sure, but to convict someone of a crime you usually have to show criminal intent, or at least willful negligence. If she didn’t know she had this condition, there’s no real guilt on her part.
I’ve heard of this condition before, and it is not something you would want.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-brewery_syndrome
The effects of the disease can have profound effects on everyday life. As well, the recurring side effects of dizziness, dry mouth, hangovers, disorientation, irritable bowel syndrome, and chronic fatigue syndrome can lead to other health problems such as depression, anxiety and poor productivity in employment. The random state of intoxication can lead to personal difficulties, and the relative obscurity of the condition can also make it hard to seek treatment. Usually the effects of the condition can be alleviated through a special very low-carbohydrate diet.
A variant occurs in persons with liver abnormalities that prevent them from excreting or breaking down alcohol normally. Patients with this condition can develop symptoms of auto-brewery syndrome even when the gut yeast produces a quantity of alcohol that is too small to intoxicate a healthy individual.
I think it is just a scam to get men to breastfeed on her!
She better carry a fire extiguisher. That’s spontaneous human combustion waiting to happen...
I thought people who have epilepsy could not drive a car, it should be no different for this condition. If this woman knew she had this condition she was completely wrong driving a car at any time. The judge should have revoked her license. She is a danger on the road.
Must've been the beer then...
Exactly my point. There are numerous medical conditions that preclude driving a car — uh, blindness comes to mind. People with these conditions are allowed to hold driver’s licenses and aren’t “exempt” from the law if they operate a vehicle despite their medical condition. Don’t understand why she gets a pass....
Previously undiagnosed? Gee... I just get drunk all the time without even drinking? Who knows why??? Never dawned on me to think that was a problem of any kind??? Whatever....
One of my terriers is suffering from a bad yeast infection now. Sometimes she appears to be hungover. I wonder..................
According to her attorney, she 'Never felt tipsy.'
According to her Breathalyzer, she blew .33.
According to the arresting officer, she was driving erratically, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and failed several field sobriety tests.
According to her attorney, "the woman also bought a Breathalyzer and blew into it every night for 18 days, registering around .20 every time.
No way, you don't realize you have diminished capacity, and no way this woman should be allowed to keep her driver's license. She's a menace on the roads.
they need to restrict what they eat to reduce the incidence of this yeast buildup....
it seems to me if you KNOW you have a condition and yet you still don't treat it then why shouldn't you be responsible for your consequences, like car accidents....
I personally don't give a pass to people who are diabetics or epileptics etc who get into accidents because they don't follow their med/diet regime...
Righto! A hearty, carb-heavy breakfast and hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to work I go (with an emphasis on”hi”).
Thanks, got it on right now.

I caught George and John Lee Hooker playing together under a tent on the 4th of July in Washington DC back in the day.
Maybe all of 25 people.
Extraordinary experience.
I saw those two at The Mosque in Richmond Va. 80’s something. Great concert. Good blues.

In 81’ a saw George, Heart and the Rolling Stones in Bolder.
Hampton Va. Heart wasn’t on the ticket. I lost some brain cells.
