I couldn't agree more. I'm a bit perplexed that Trump doesn't understand this. The whole "born again" principle is well known when it comes to evangelicals.
Trump isn’t easy to puzzle out. I posit that there seems to be some evidence for “weak believer.” Some evangelical followings have asserted a parallel between Trump’s situation and that of the benefactor of Israel, Cyrus the Great, who wasn’t any kind of overt worshiper but nonetheless the Lord moved him. (Maybe when he saw what resulted, he then was moved to be a worshiper?)
I do not think Trump is any type of believer in God as he appears to know nothing of religion. I have also heard him say he has never asked God for forgiveness as he has never done anything wrong and he has never asked God for help with anything as he does it himself. I believe he is his own god.
