"Trump? Not this redneck. Nor any of the rednecks I know." It's the same here. Central Virginia is redneck country, and Cruz is very well-liked around here. Most of the men I know are too smart to fall for the Manhattanite's act.
And we're honored that Ted announced his run just ten miles up the road. :)

IF it was as put. And there's your problem. The ENTIRE pile of nonsense comes from that cut up eight minutes (or less). How do you determine context? You can't. All you can do is listen to him in greater context to get his jist. As I said, there are hours of his sermons to draw from. If you think you do him justice condemning him off of a hit piece, then you have a strange sense of justice.

Well I “was” trying to be charitable by proposing how it might be hyperbole, but normally hyperbole doesn’t form part of serious spiritual statements.
Where there’s smoke there could well be fire. You don’t propose something like that in any sane church I know of. If it were an oddball statement it should be that much more opposed as being out of character.

And anywhere I want to know where this particular meme is going.
Sometimes a church following looks pretty blessed mainstream until you bump into a VERY inverted statement. I had that experience with a Chinese church on the web. They were singing about what looked like a biblical gospel, if a bit oddly phrased (which I chalked up to translation) — it had me going even — and then boom, I saw it in website text. They believe Christ came back to China already as a woman.
I just would like to know more about this. Inversions of the order that God set up in the world aren’t trivial theology.

And then I try to remember the last time the South voted for a New York Yankee... If it does happen, I'll be looking toward heaven, because I know the end has come... : )
I literally don't know one person up here in the Rockies that is for Trump. Haven't seen a single cap or bumper sticker. But most everyone I know is for Cruz.
Must be something in the water north of Dixie... *rolls eyes*
