Ted Cruz says Bill Clinton not an issue in presidential race

Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.

"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton’s biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."

New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.

"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.

Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.

Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.

"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. “We have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."

He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.

"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

<<< “ The target is Hillary. If Bubba fires at Cruz, Cruz will respond accordingly... “ >>> *******

Waiting for Cruz to respond to this title.
Waiting for Cruz to respond to all the articles on his father’s allegedly odd faith practice.
Waiting, waiting.

Surely, he must be trying to hold together in IOWA by hiding from all controversy for 36 days.

Good LUCK with that.

I’m sorry, but Ted is dead wrong on this. It makes perfect sense for any Republican candidate to make Bill’s abuse of women a legitimate topic of discussion. Trump is exactly correct here:

* HRC announces Bill will play role in her campaign

* Bill has a history of abusing women...even recent history

* HRC was in charge of “Bibmbo Eruptions” by discrediting and destroying the lives of women who Bill abused and cheated with. She was an enabler

* HRC charges Trump and the Republicans with waging a War on Women

* HRC holds herself out to be a fighter for women’s rights

* Trump warns HRC ‘don’t go there’

* HRC does indeed ‘go there’

* Trump reminds Americans (especially young Americans) about Bill’s abuse of women, and HRC’s role in destroying said women.

And yet Ted Cruz doesn’t want to go there! Seriously?

If Ted doesn’t want to go after this type of hypocrisy, what else is he willing too overlook?

Trump is the only one taking it to the Democrats and exposing their hypocrisy. Any wonder his support continues to grow?

Well then, the first paragraph of the article must be wrong. My apologies. Happy New Year.

I will be interested to see how far the Marquess of Queensbury Rules carry him, against fighting corruption generally, or incinerating the GOPEE Establishment, or, how about the Hillary Unleashed campaign.

Clearly he's not willing to enter the fray on something as obvious as Hillary covering up her husband's felonious attacks on women. So how would Ted get anything accomplished on the bloody battle ground that the next Republican President will need to fight on?

We need somebody who's not going to be shredded by the likes of Hillary, or afraid of getting down and dirty and giving as good as he gets. Trump has shown himself to be that kind of fighter.

Thank you for making that point.

Wasn’t it close to 20% of eligible voters, who were not born yet at the time, therefore, possibly have no clue about the Grifters in the White House, and the penchant for women from Arkansas to the world. lol!

They fanned out with cooperation to facilitate his passions and arrange them, and then the cover up is immediately in action.

Actually, TRUMP was inoculating himself again! He hit first and hard, knowing full well that Hillary would dig up his affair with Maples, whom he did marry, and who remains a non-combatant to this day.

I mean, she should, because he takes care of her I expect, and their daughter.

Billy Dale had worked in the White House travel office for three decades. He had served 7 presidents and one horse’s *ss (and we are not counting Jimmy Carter as the horse’s *ss). But Hillary Clinton wanted Dale and his associates gone. She wanted him gone very badly. Harry Thomason was owed a big favor for getting rape victim Elizabeth Ward Gracen out of the country on an acting gig during the 1992 campaign.

What had Dale done to Hillary? The answer is he had done nothing. Dale and six others were simply in the way of her plans.

Most Americans do not know that during the 1992 campaign, the Clintons used an Arkansas travel agency, World Wide Travel. They worked with a Clinton cousin, Catherine Cornelius. WWT provided a million dollars in deferred travel for the Clinton campaign, freeing up much needed cash for campaigning. Employees of the firm donated to the Clinton campaign.

It gets even better. The supposed investigation against Travel Office “accounting improprieties” was headed by…..are you ready…headed by none other than Cornelius herself just as she was planning with World Wide Travel for a reorganization that would put her in charge of the department. She gets a good job and Thomasson gets a hugely profitable business.

The Clintons had every right to simply dismiss Dale and the others and bring in their own people. Hillary, the brains behind the operation, not only had Dale fired, but also tried to send him to prison. Firing was not good enough. In May of 1993 the employees were given one hour’s notice to clean out their desks, and they were escorted away in a windowless van. The replacement was made without competitive bid.

Dale was very popular with the White House press corps. He knew them all and treated them very well. The firing and trumped-up charges against Dale became a public relations nightmare, so Hillary had to distance herself. Keeping in mind that the first instinct of the Clintons is always to lie, that is exactly what she did. She claimed that he had nothing to do with the firing.

The nightmare grew worse for Dale as the FBI was brought in and he was charged with embezzling money from the Travel Office. At one point, the cost of trial would have been so prohibitively expensive that Dale tried to do a plea bargain to just make it go away. Fortunately, the government did not accept a plea bargain. When it came to trial, Dale was acquitted by the jury in under 2 hours. What they did to him was in incredible injustice. Not surprisingly, as has happened to most of the Clinton enemies, the IRS also came after him.

Don't worry...the SuperPacs can handle the dirty work needed.

In our world gone darkly mad, Trump is Batman, and Cruz is PacMan.

So what would you like him to do .. Throw broadsides 24/7? You do know Bill Clinton is still highly popular in this country, no? The point is to GAIN votes in an election, not piss them off by attacking a former president they still (albeit wrongly) adore. What’s the gain for Cruz?

Ted Cruz doesn’t need to address cartoons.

So when is St Donnie going to address Benghazi?

Sorry Scott, but this faulty thinking. Trump is attempting to educate younger Americans about HRC’s past. Most young people of voting age do NOT know about Bill and Hillary’s past of abusing and destroying women. The fact that Cruz is willfully ignoring this blatant hypocrisy from HRC is leaving many scratching their heads.

Once again, Trump’s support will only grow.

” What Cruz said is, “BILL CLINTON” is not the issue... however, Hillary’s backing of his victimization of women will be....... Cruz can smack her down on that issue without even mentioning Bubba’s name.”
********************

TRUMP is smacking her down. Now.

Cruz is ducking.

Maybe Cruz can addressing it by attributing his non-committal answer to States Rights.

Being too cautious does not garner confidence and looks like a too shy guy, afraid of a fine bloody American political battle.

Team Cruz has cognitive dissonance beteeen two things it espouses:

- Reagan's 'Bold Colors, not Pale Pastels'

- 'Tone Matters'

These two don't play well together.

With Cruz's declaration on avoiding Bill Clinton, he went with 'tone matters' over 'bold colors'.

His team may as well adopt the motto: Pastel Tones Splatter

Ted will need to address Hillary’s “war on women” meme at some point should he be the nominee.

Trump has brought up Benghazi several times in his speeches but the media has not picked up on it the way they have on the sexist comments.
